Destroy All Humans! Big Willy Unleashed update: weapons, Wii screenshots |
Ó
Weapons from the first two games in the Destroy All Humans! series will once again make an appearance in Big Willy Unleashed. There's the flying saucer's Death Ray, the Sonic Boom, and the Quantum Deconstructor. Crypto's also still packing the Zap-O-Matic, the Ion Detonator, the Disintegrator, and let's not forget everybody's favorite, the Anal Probe.
Even without these bad-ass gadgetry, Crypto still packs a punch meaner than most humans. He's got quite a few nifty mental powers, see, like Psychokinesis. Perfect for turning a propane tank into a concussion bomb and then tossing in into an angry mob. Crypto can also hypnotize people into carrying out specific commands or even transform inanimate objects into ammunition.
Of course, seeing as how this is a new entry in the franchise, Crypto's gotten some new toys to play with as well. Apart from the new Electro-Cone weapon on the saucer, which effectively destroys humans while leaving buildings intact, Crypto's also got the following new weapons:
- The Ball Lightning Gun - a fire and forget electrically charged ball of lightning that hovers over carefree masses, automatically discharging on nearby targets.
- The Zombie Gun - also known as the Reanimatron, it fires projectiles of green goo at a target, which transforms a human target into a zombie. Other enemies will attack your zombie, making it a perfect decoy.
- The Shrink Ray - ideal for transforming a hulking ballistic missile launcher into matchbox-sized action figure. DonÂ’t expect to wield this weapon early in the game, as the shrink ray is only awarded when you reach a particularly impressive level on the carnage-o-scope.
Finally we get to see more of the guy mentioned in the game's title, Big Willy himself. Big Willy is a cheery, rosy-cheeked fast food restaurant mascot that's armed to the teeth, bristling with hidden Furon weaponry. His size alone makes him a force to be reckoned with, so expect some large-scale devastation when you add these weapons into the mix:
- Heat Beam Eyes – While similar to the saucer’s death ray, this system can be aimed freely at unsuspecting targets while Big Willy careens through the streets of an otherwise quiet neighborhood.
- Regurg-a-tron - perfect for turning a well-armed militia into a chunky smoldering puddle.
- WindBreaker - an foul-smelling explosive blast thatÂ’s emitted from the south end of a north facing Willy. Remember than dream sequence in The Nutty Professor where a giant Sherman Klump breaks wind? It's kinda like that.
Itching for a shot at all them pesky humans? Havoc commences when Destroy All Humans! Big Willy Unleashed launches February 25.

It's too bad for the PS2 version. Any one knows if money or teams have been moved to either the Wii or PSP version?
