Well this was a long time in coming. The game's been out for some time in the U.S. (and around a week in Europe), but it seems the demo for Zipper Interactive and Sony's SOCOM U.S. Navy SEALs Fireteam Bravo 2 has just been released. The game pits your squad of Navy SEALs against all manner of terrorists and other assorted baddies. As with any game in the SOCOM series though, it's also about tactical placement of your forces to ensure victory against the enemy, as well as a liberal sprinkling of gunfire against enemy encampments.
The demo is 42 MB in size, so expect to spend a little time before you can try the game out. Still, if you're the type who insists on trying a game before buying it, the wait shouldn't be a problem. Enjoy!

what FW version is needed?
is this a new socom 2 demo? There was one already out for a while which is also around 42 MB...
but maybe it's only 3.40. well, we (almost) all have 3.40 OE-A so it's no problem. and i don't think it's 3.50 only.

about a month ago sony put this exact demo up on their PSP site ... problem was the way the demo was made it required a folder that was 13 characters long and the PSP can only create folders of 12 characters. long story short the game wouldn't run so they pulled it from the site. places like pspdemocenter.com got it when it came out fixed the folder name and put it up as a zip download. so yes it has been out for a while now. now this version of the demo actually fixed it so it can run in a folder with a shorter name.
and actually it isn't an infrastructure demo ... that'd be MGS:PO. this one takes you through i believe the first mission of the game. if you haven't played it yet i suggest you do as it is one of the better demos out there.

What the hell is a "memstick"? That lamer then "Mo-Bo". It's just 3 letters off from memory, so is there any reason to attempt an abbreviation?
Well, Mobo has been around for awhile, and most of my friends say memstick as well.
*shrug* memstick is ok, Mobo is just faster to type. (I guessed Mobo when I first heard it like 3-4 years ago)
Its like saying lol, I had no idea what it was when I was like 9 (I turned 18 2 sundays ago) so in all honesty, I think lol is retarded.
What I am saying, abbreviations are sometimes needed, and sometimes they are not. Like for memstick, not exactly, but new egg sometimes even lists most of their motherboards under "Mobo" under the description.
