Dad beats six year old son for poor video game performance |

Just when you think some people can't get any more pathetic, news like
this pops up. 50-year old Terry Taulbee from East Price Hill,
Cincinnati, is charged with beating his six-year-old son, all because
the kid didn't play a video game well. Sheesh.Taulbee is now being held at the Hamilton County jail, facing a domestic violence charge for hitting the kid on his lower back and buttocks, which left a large red hand mark, according to court records. The area was swollen, causing pain for the poor six-year-old. The victimÂ’s mother told police that Taulbee became upset when the boy didnÂ’t play well in a video game.
Other details regarding the incident still remain unknown, including what video game was being played, and why it mattered so much to Taulbee that it be played well. We'll keep you posted once we get updates.

*Huge sigh* No, you suck - very badly I should add - Seth is stupid easy. His stun rating is low and his defense is worse. Two combos if you suck, to stun him, one if you're pretty good. Then bam, finish him with one good combo. If you were my son I might beat you for losing to him at all! haha jk.
Remember, the kids only 6. When I was 6, Super Mario Bros. was difficult to me.

ahhh. I remember my first video game. Memories. Super Bros 1. I would get slapped because I couldn't remain seated when I would make mario jump. I would literary jump and tug on the cord and it would make my dad angry. I though it was funny as hell.

maybe the kid chucked a huge spaz when he lost. if he did something like start hitting my ps3 i would be pretty pissed.
i could understand that one, people (including children) that get into fits because of a video game need to be beaten.
Of course there is the second option, just stop playing the game, or take away the console.

The kid is actually moon (as in Moon in legendary WC3 player) in the making. it's normal for his dad to be angry (though i do not condone domestic violence)

Sounds like the kid only got a smack, kids need it sometimes. maybe theres more to this than just the game.

So *****ing what? the only difference is if it was any other race you wouldnt hear about it because its so *****ing common its not worth reporting.
The story is just being blown out of proportion as things like this often do. The real story probably involves a kid talking back to the old guy and he didn't like his tone so he popped him and momma didn't like it so she pressed charges. I bet the kid is a spoiled rotten little thing too. I feel sorry for the old guy because once stories like this get this kind of media coverage you're no longer fighting against the prosecutor you're fighting against the world. If he did hit him over poor performance that is pretty stupid but there isn't anything wrong with discipline when its deserved.
It seems likely to me that this is what happened. We've all seen it, a kid loses and they throw a massive a fit, so his father spanked him (yes, read the article, the kid was only spanked) to settle him down. Hardly something to get so hot and bothered about if that's what actually happened.

The kid got spanked, grow the flip up. It is no good that he got spanked over a video game; maybe the details are lacking in accuracy. But this article paints it out that the dad mutilated the child. IT WAS A SPANKING. If parents go to jail for spanking their children then heaven help the world in 10-20 years when those kids who cannot even handle a spanking grow up.

thats not the point, they TEND (tend.....) to have reports on stuff like the murder of a pretty white girl or child than some guy (i live in this ISHhole, Oklahoma so yes, its kinda like that)

If anything the mother probably exaggerated the details to the cops for some other reason. The details are always lacking in these articles. And oh my god, someone book me for spanking a child. God knows I've had to spank my nephews and nieces, bu sometimes the lil bastards need it.
