Indie game developer Curve Studio has announced that they'll be releasing a downloadable PSP version of their upcoming PSN title Explodemon! once the PSP Go is in stores.
Curve Studio Managing Director Jason Perkins said, "As one of Europe's leading PSP developers we're very excited about the announcement of PSPgo. With its focus on digital distribution, PSPgo represents a great opportunity for us to capitalize on our experience on the platform and bring our own IP to portable gamers."
Explodemon! is a 2.5D action platform game with an exploding robot as the main character. It's been described as a loving homage to old-school Japanese action games (complete with in-game typos and weird Engrish grammar) and brings together platforming elements from classics like MegaMan with more contemporary physics-based puzzle solving elements.
The PSN release is scheduled for later this year. The portable version of Explodemon! doesn't have a specific release date yet as well. The game will also be released on PC and WiiWare. Here's a trailer.
