Final Fantasy VII Potion - Image 1

Square Enix certainly has a penchant for weird promotional gimmicks. It's happened once before that the company released a Final Fantasy XII Potion Drink with the help of Suntory, and now they're planning on doing it again with Crisis Core: Final Fantasy VII.

Suntory and Square Enix are teaming up once again to bring a new potion to the masses. Dubbed the Final Fantasy VII Anniversary 10th Anniversary Potion set, only 77,777 of the said set will be made. More importantly, the potion set will also contain the FFVII Ultimania Guide book, which serves as a compendium of information on the series to date.

Expect the potion sets to come out on September 13 for 3,980 yen (US$ 32).

The FF12 drink was horrible. I tried drinking it twice while I was in Japan, once drunk and once sober. Both times it made me nauseated.

Yeah, it was absolutely foul.

Even Japanese people thought it was bad, and they have notoriously weird taste.

Isn't that a bit too expensive for an energy drink?

As cool as this is, I'm slightly disappointed. For the 10th anniversary for FVII I would expect something more symbolic of the game. Like Sephiroth's masamune, or a minature Meteor. You know what I mean. I am iffy with the drink. Is it supposed to glow?! *sarcasm*

» hmmn

the bottle looks better than the previous one that i drank. and heck they even increase the price this time, previously it was just 2980 Yen. the previous bottle looked like potion from some other game or some perfume.

the nice thing about these FF drinks are the special see through cards included in each bottle, i got a VAAN card the character from ffxii, i know its worth a fortune but i think one of my house mates threw it in the trash when we were moving to another apartment. previously the cards are the one limited but nw its the actual potion drink. by the way it is just a repackaged energy drink.
