Create-A-Superstar patch for WWE Smackdown vs. Raw 2009 released |
Ó
Big WWE Smackdown vs. Raw 2009 (Xbox 360, PS3, PSP, Wii, DS) news. A little over a month after we posted an article about THQ's plan to release a patch that'll give your custom superstars an attribute boost, it's now ready and up and running. The plan was to release the patch before the end of January, so yes, they managed to meet that target on time.
"The Create-a-Superstar feature has always been a very popular component of the WWE Smackdown vs. Raw franchise," said Cory Ledesma, senior creative manager at THQ. "The new path will give more players more flexibility and greatly enhance their ability to fully customize multiple Created Superstars at the same time."
So what're you waiting for? Minimal grinding for your custom wrestlers is now here!

how do you download the patch
Err... Log in through Live or PSN and launch your game. Should automatically ask you to download the patch. I wouldn't know about the handhelds though. Don't know if they get it tbh.
Its ONLY for the PS3 at the moment!!!!! why would they just make 1 patch! they should've done it for all the systems. I got this game for the PSP. I wonder how they're gonna do it for the handheld systems like the PSP or NDS. They've never done a patch for a handheld before... right?
this article kinda fails, what patch is it so we don't get confused, exactly how do we change the attributes, do we have to beat the carreer mode again? is it retroactive? there's really no option to change the attributes like in previous svr games.
Am I the only who still hasn't seen this patch since the article was posted? I boot the game up (PS3) and get no update. Usually I don't even need to login to PSN so long as there is a standby connection, but still, logged on or not, the patch currently isn't there.
I've yet to see it as well. Are we sure the patch was released, or was it submitted? FYI, if you type MAXCAS in the codes in my wwe, you'll start at an overall 90.
Its supposedly only after you beat career mode, then you can edit the attributes. thats what i've heard.
I was pretty 'meh' with the game in the end. The PSP version is *very* basic with a lot of the realism and graphical content passable at best.
It's a fairly fun beat 'em up with a great theme, but other fighters on the PSP are far better in terms of gameplay, graphics, style and content.
That's from the viewpoint of someone who's a fan of teh wrasslin', but not so much that I'm blind to the downsides of the game.
Worth a buy if you're a fan of the genre, else the PSP has better offerings out there for beat 'em ups.
