Court denies Thompson's Kotaku complaint yet again

Jack Thompson denied once more - Image 1Federal District court Judge Paul Huck had already denied the lawsuit filed by Jack Thompson involving gaming site Kotaku's parent company Gawker Media. Despite that, it should be remembered that the controversial lawyer mentioned that he would re-file an amendment to the case.

Thompson did raise the issue once more with an amendment to the case. Guess what happened? Judge Huck refused again to include Gawker Media as a defendant. Thompson added Kotaku to the complaint because of the comments posted of the said online video game site.

Huck argued that Thompson may not add more distinct and unrelated claims into a single lawsuit. Part of the judge's decision reads,

This action will not serve as a repository for any and all real or perceived claims that Plaintiff has against various entities. Although Plaintiff, in his motion, characterizes the actions of the Defendants as a "collaborated assault" against him, it is apparent thatÂ… Plaintiff's accusations against Gawker MediaÂ… are wholly separate from his claims against the remaining defendants.

While Huck's decision looks encompassing and will finally allow Gawker Media out of this mess for good, you can always count on Jack Thompson to never run out of determination. Let's all wait and see how this will turn out.

» All this attention makes him seek more...

Nothing against the bloggers about this stuff... But Mr. Jack doesn't really know about Jack. He says he's a professional at this stuff. But obviously he doesn't give reasonable grounds to his claims. His only defense to people's arguments on this issue is, "I've been to many other schools that had the same problem." O please Mr. Jack stop with this beating around the bush and say you don't have proof to your claims

» As said

There's really nothing much to say about this stupid lawyer. Only that he acts like a foolish child. Whining until he gets what he want. In this case to win court battles (which fortunately he hasn't so far).

» the easiest solution to getting rid of jack thompson

is for everyone, especially the media, to just ignore the guy. How easy is that?

» It's not even funny anymore

There was a time when it was popular to bash and make fun of ol' Jack. Now, it's just kind of pathetic. He clearly is insane, and has no idea what the hell he's doing anymore. Shoot, if it weren't for the fact that he was an arsehole who hates video games, I'd almost feel sorry for him.

» NEWS FLASH

!!! BREAD IS DANGEROUS !!!

Research on bread indicates that:

1. More than 98 percent of convicted felons are bread users.

2. Fully HALF of all children who grow up in bread-consuming households score below average on standardized tests.

3. In the 18th century, when virtually all bread was baked in the home, the average life expectancy was less than 50 years; infant mortality rates were unacceptably high; many women died in childbirth; and diseases such as typhoid, yellow fever, and influenza ravaged whole nations.

4. More than 90 percent of violent crimes are committed within 24 hours of eating bread.

5. Bread is made from a substance called "dough." It has been proven that as little as one pound of dough can be used to suffocate a mouse. The average American eats more bread than that in one month!

6. Primitive tribal societies that have no bread exhibit a low incidence of cancer, Alzheimer's, Parkinson's disease, and osteoporosis.

7. Bread has been proven to be addictive. Subjects deprived of bread and given only water to eat begged for bread after as little as two days.

8. Bread is often a "gateway" food item, leading the user to "harder" items such as butter, jelly, peanut butter, and even cold cuts.

9. Bread has been proven to absorb water. Since the human body is more than 90 percent water, it follows that eating bread could lead to your body being taken over by this absorptive food product, turning you into a soggy, gooey bread-pudding person.

10. Newborn babies can choke on bread.

11. Bread is baked at temperatures as high as 400 degrees Fahrenheit! That kind of heat can kill an adult in less than one minute.

12. Most American bread eaters are utterly unable to distinguish between significant scientific fact and meaningless statistical babbling.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

In light of these frightening statistics, it has been proposed that the following bread restrictions be made:

1. No sale of bread to minors.

2. A nationwide "Just Say No To Toast" campaign, complete celebrity TV spots and bumper stickers.

3. A 300 percent federal tax on all bread to pay for all the societal ills we might associate with bread.

4. No animal or human images, nor any primary colors (which may appeal to children) may be used to promote bread usage.

5. The establishment of "Bread-free" zones around schools.

This article was written by B.S. Wheatberry in a desert after consuming mass quantities of yeast bread then realizing his canteen was empty. (seriously )

Jesus Christ man! How many times is this guy going to have to be told he's an idiot? Now it's his SUPERIORS who continually laugh in his face at these incredulous, bogus, and absurd claims?!?

Get a life Mr. Thompson. There is other ways to make cash other than trying to sue people. People like this give Americans a bad name to the rest of the world. Makes us all look idiotic.

» Biggest Douche in the universe

There are many reason's I can think of that JT will use video games as an excuse to peoples violences.

Many people believe its all to do with fame, think about it! Who else has done something like this and tried to ban video games? no one I can think of! and because the gaming community is the largest, he thought he'd take advantage and at least attempt to be well known to them.. even though we want to shove large pointy things in delicate places.

Many people believe that there's always someone out there who can't play sport to save their life and are only left with video games - Thompson can't play either and he's taking out his frustration on it. That being said, he asnt claimed that sports lead to violence when it clearly does so I have no idea about that one. Maybe he got ganked far too many times on CounterStrike that he just snapped and decided to try ban it?

That.. or he got raped by video games when he was younger http://content.ytmnd.com/content/e/1/d/e1d475ef9fe198417e841651f1579df2.jpg

actually, it doesn't really sound like kotaku is out of it for good.. just that if he wants to initiate a lawsuit, it'll have to be separate from the one in which he's already engaged.. seeing as the case wasn't thrown out for lack of merit exactly.

» People that dumb, shouldn't be lawyers

It's amusing how he's so freaked out about how the entire gaming community is out to get him, when he's trying to do the same thing to us. And really, the only thing uniting us against him, is our undying hatred of him. There really are no joint efforts to defame him, because who bothers proving the proven?

If you had two brain cells to rub together you would be dangerous.

Who ever posted the bread comment, is showing how you can apply the same thinking that old Mr Thomson is doing, with just about anything.

So the guy who shot up that school in the US, had counter strike on his PC, so fricken what? I bet he ate bread that morning too. see where this is going?
