Even at easy mode, players still found that Catherine is still a tad too difficult. Atlus promised a patch to make things a little more manageable for the players, and this is what they did.

The dream sequence is nothing short of a nightmare, so Atlus made easy mode considerably easier than what players have been putting up with. In Atlus' blog, director Katsuna Hashino noted that the easy and normal modes now have "relaxed" retry limits to help you complete the game.

For the hardcore few who have gotten past the challenges, fear not. The game will still come with a pre-patch mode for certain parts where you can masochistically indulge the game in all its difficult non-glory.

Right now, a release date for this patch has not been announced, but it should arrive soon enough. We'll keep you posted on that end.
