Capcom's got a "frelling ace up its sleeve"

Thumb - Image 1 Their words not mine, specifically, the words of Capcom's own Ben Judd, producer on the recently released Bionic Commando: Rearmed. All aboard the hype train, next stop, Speculation Junction!

Ben's quote, lovingly paraphrased by yours truly reads:

"We still have a frelling ace up our sleeve. It's an ace, a frelling ace... At TGS (Tokyo Game Show), the Capcom booth stage is going to make people's balls pucker up. It's going to be big."

DuckTales Rearmed? Strider Rearmed? A proper HD MegaMan? Pucker up!?

Judd made the colorful comment at a recent launch event for Rearmed but refused to go into any detail. That said, if you happen to be at TGS when this goes down, for God's sake, look away.

» just a theory

Hearing the word 'frelling" in the quote had me thinking- this was a word used as swearing in the show Farscape. I know the show hasn't been being made for a few years but it's still possible this is what they have in mind, considering the number of fans for the show.

» Should'a been clear about that.

He didn't actually use the word "frelling" ;)

by DNAgent - 2008-08-17 03:34
» What?

It's going to make your balls pucker up? That makes no sense, and what about the females? If anything it should make your butthole pucker.

In any case, the announcement is from Capcom and they are known to disappoint with their announcements (much like Square-Enix).

How come you don't have the QJ.NET tag in your name? Did you quit? :(

A new Strider or HD Megaman will be infinitely awesome.

» The Only BIG news for the DS could be the impossible......

And, that would be a rendition of our beloved,

MONSTER HUNTER FREEDOM for the DS!

.....if this is the news that they are going to present, then yes! Please. Thank you Capcom! Love U.

» *Crosses Fingers*

Here's to hoping they're gonna pretend that BoF5 never existed and make a proper one.

For bionic commando rearmed, I really wanted to play it, but I found the demo a real big letdown...

Nope, been here all the while. It's just that my publisher account was created back before we had the ability to add the "QJ Staff" handle, and I've never bothered to fix it. One of these days I'll get around to it!

» hmmm

capcom + puckered balls = me at five years old + ghosts and goblins.

maybe theyre going to remake (and un-re-vision) that franchise. make it actually pucker my balls again. i remember what it was like, being in your underwear half the time with demons flying around and zombies coming up from every location at random. . . that was great.

» "butthole pucker." ??!!!

Are you gay? Why do you talk gay junk?

by CHUCKINGROCKSATSPACESHIPS - 2008-08-17 18:44
» Thats funny!

I can see people that do a search and finding your comment and not knowing what you are talking about getting grossed out. Thats funny!

by CHUCKINGROCKSATSPACESHIPS - 2008-08-17 18:49
» I downloaded the full game

I downloaded the full game and think it's pretty cool. I passed the old NES version years ago and now have flashbacks of how hard some of it is. The grappling and swinging with death below is hard sometimes but I gotta say this remake is cool beans.

» Correction

In the title, it should be "frelling ace up its sleeve". You are not trying to say "frelling ace up it is sleeve". :)

Same here, but I doubt that will puck anything on a large scale...

» The Apostrophie

Is often given a bad wrap. Thanks for pointing that out.

» Well... I just

want them to get out a Dead Rising sequel... That would please a lot of people. Maybe a current-gen Mega-Man (tho I think the throwback is pretty cool idea)

BUT PLEASE GOD give us DEAD RISING 2

Please...please, please, Capcom, no more Lost Planet crud... that game was p!$$ poor. The campaign seemed like painfully lackluster and very cruel joke I had to force myself to the end on... Only redeemable aspect was the kinda nifty Mp that was instantly forgotten about when it was blown outta the water by every other shooter that came out after with the minutest bit of quality.
