Capcom releasing more PSOne titles on PS Store |

Sure, they're getting a lot of flak about their supposed nickel-and-diming ways right now, but Capcom has some pretty good news for PS3 and PSP owners who still love playing through old PSOne games.According to a post by Capcom coprorate officer Christian Svensson, the company has already submitted "the first PS1 titles for PSN" last week. Capcom's John Diamonon said late last year that 2009 will see "a whole slew of downloadable PSP and PSone titles " from the Capcom vault. I guess this is the start.
No dates or other further details yet, but note that it's "titles", as in plural. Man, I hope Breath of FIre 4 is in there somewhere. Even better if it's an uncensored version! What about you guys? What classic Capcom games do you want to see on the PlayStation Store?

Dino Crisis for me
Everything Capcom put on the PS1 was soo good! No matter what they put out, a lot of people are going to be disappointed until their whole PS1 library is available.
Personally RE1 (Director's Cut) and RE2 seem like obvious choices to bolster RE5. Street Fighter has already seen some PS1 love with Alpha. So I think they'll probably hold off on fighting games for the time being.
I'd like to see Mega Man X4 and Breath of Fire 4.
is my favorite Mega Man game.. I had it for the PC yearsss ago and it's honestly the only Mega Man game where I was interested in the storyline, it was good.
Rival Schools would certainly be more preferable than their 2D fighters as RS was much more suited to the Playstation and the 2D stuff was usually cut down compared to Saturn/Arcade versions and I usually run the arcade roms anyways on my PSP. Street Fighter IV more than satisfies my Capcom fighting hunger and I have HD Remix as a back up too.
I prefer the PS1 version of Puzzle Fighter to the HD one we have now but I guess we're unlikely to get that. Can't say I cared much for the Mega Man games on PS1. Seemed to lose their charm a bit for me from the 8 and 16 bit ones but X4 was decent enough so I would probably buy that on my PS3/PSP.
Resident Evil 1, 2 and 3 would be near essential I think, as mentioned already because of RE5's release and also a reminder of where the series started. Dino Crisis 1 and 2 would do well there too.
I dunno. Other than those a lot of my favorite Capcom classic games tended to be on consoles that predate the PS1 such as UN Squadron, Pang, Mega Man X, Mega Man 2, Strider or in some cases arcade only like Dungeons & Dragons and Alien Vs Predator.
Anyways whatever games they choose to put it's all good.

Mega Man Legends 1 and 2! Fun, RPG, 3d... lots of upgradeable weapons and a good/evil system... But you can't buy the Games anymore....
You say desperate I say money. Unlike your world the real world runs on money. People want ps1 games to play on their psp/ps3. If there is demand why not? Go take some economics class then come back here and say PSN sucks for doing what a business should do and is do whatever it takes to make money.
Lastly Microsoft is just a greedy plain and simple. You can argue that 360 is cheaper then ps3. Yes cheaper but quality wise it sucks. Lets see my ps1 bought it 6months after release still working. My ps2 8months after release still working. PS3 bought 5months after release still working. My friends xbox died after 1 year. His 360 got the red ring after 1.2 year. LONG LIVE CRAPPY PRODUCTS THATS THAT CAN'T SURVIVE MORE THEN 1 YEAR.
Dino Crisis, Resident Evil 2 and Resident Evil 3. Thats what I would buy from the PS Store.

3. You say Playstation was good before Xbox 360 hit the market? By your logic PSone must have been pretty good. Then how can PSN "suck" , if these games are released on PSN?

Really, Xbox fanboys are so damn ridiculous. I'm not saying there aren't any PS3 fanboys, but at least they don't give such stupid comments.
I'd want to see Megaman titles all over the PSN network. They're all good and hopefully will still look good upscaled. I'd also want to see the Monster Rancher series along with it because I'm still a fan of them and I'm hoping for a new release on that especially as a ps3 exclusive!
I would want the RE series along with those but I'd rather have total remakes instead. Especially of two and three. Oh how insanely frightening upgraded versions of those games would be.

What if they compiled there megaman games into one? such as the aniversy game. that would prolly net them some sales
but i would particularly like to see
Cyberbots, Dino Crisis 1 or 2, resident evil 2
we already have a couple fighter games on the psn and i think that capcom needs to fill a void that is there in the action/ horror genre
On a side note, i know theres a homebrew doom, but that would be interesting to see on the psn.
Now if only other people start doing this, SE perhaps with FF games.
Lay off Melty, he's just cranky because he didn't have his afternoon nap. But aside from that, I think this is really great news.
i think sony's not desperate; rather, microsoft is...
they pay the devs or watever to get them exclusive DLC's and such for games(Tomb Raider) so that it would remain exclusive to the 360... well that kind of makes them look desperate XD
All Resident Evils that were released on the PSone, along with the Dino Crisis duology (I say this because Dino Crisis 3 was horrible and Dino Stalker was more of a spin-off).
These are must-haves.

wow, wrong word emphasis.......not everyone has a modded PSP, so your PSPSX game wouldn't work on their system. And some people actually like to "own" their things the legal way.
Yeah, I'd like to see games released that cost more than their online price should I have to buy the real thing. Megaman Legends 2 goes for about $30 or more on ebay, so that would definitely be a good candidate. Wish I hadn't sold mine.....
Hey, and that's fine and ok, hypercoyote360. I don't hate on official firmware Psp-ers. You wanna be true and loyal to SONY and got the money "own" the psp stuff online on the psp site then good for u. But keep in mind that this is a site where people come in to find out how to do "enhance" Psp's, weather they have modded their psp's or not. And if ur someone that comes in here, or any other non-sony psp site, ur still gonna be hated (a bit) by sony. Yea, buy their sony brand...sony like! Do hidden things that Sony won't approve of...Sony no like!!
