Bonus R-Type Command model still requires assembly, possible filing |
Ó
R-Type Command's pre-order bonus, a model of the R-9 spaceship, certainly looks like an impressive addition to any model collector's stable of plastic and metal goodies. For those who are hoping to get the model all boxed and ready to display, however, there's something you need to know: the model actually needs some assembly before you can use it. According to this latest update we found on Atlus' official R-Type website, the actual figurine needs to be put together before it gets to look anything like the pictures we've posted previously.
There are 18 pieces to combine in total, which isn't so bad, but one direction from the instruction manual did give us pause. The manual states that you may need to file some of the excess plastic off a portion of one of the pieces to get it to fit properly.
Not exactly deal-breaking, we suppose, but we certainly wouldn't want to be responsible for dealing some irreparable damage to this sweet model. In any event, if you picked up a pre-order of the game, do take care in putting everything together, alright?

*****, Batman!
otherwise it is called action figure... no? Actually all those assembly parts are the most fun. I usually end up tossing them (aka gundam models) out a few years later...
