Bloody advertising from Rockstar: Manhunt 2 medical bracelets |
Ó
If you're the type whose imagination goes wild at the slightest of things, then you might start to believe that the psychotic backstories of Manhunt are more real than you previously thought. Opposable Thumbs writer Ben Kuchera just recently got a little letter via snail mail from the Dixmor Hospital for the Criminally Insane. Much to say, its contents are both creepy and exciting at the same time (either that or we're all messed up in the head too).
Rockstar has taken a step up with building up for their upcoming sequel: Manhunt 2 (PSP, Wii). Kuchera got the letter (reproduce below) with two bloodied medical ward bracelets to make things even more visceral. The letter reads:
Enclosed are Danny Lamb and Leo Kasper's ID bracelets found discarded after last night's incident. This is the only potentially damning evidence we have found so far. I trust every possible precaution will be taken to ensure that any records relating to these patients are destroyed.
We are all too aware that both subjects pose a highly serious threat to society, let alone the very existence of "The Project." Both patients suffer sever psychotic episodes characterized by intense paranoia, involuntary psychotic reactions, delusional hallucinations and acute schizophrenic disorders...
We HAVE to track them down.

That's awesome, I want one, but the question is, what do I have to do to get them?
damn that *****s tight. i want one sent to my place.
Niice. Rockstar pwns.
i owned the first one then started playing it and actually owned cant wait good job rockstar way to not vice city it... i mean screw it up
awsome way to advertise, i am not a fan of stealth games but its still a good game. i hope the 2nd one is good. and i hope the shooting sequences are sooo repetitive.
lol I should have just kept my REAL, BLOODY hospital wristband when I had an accident. May be next time ;)
There would have been a disclaimer written on the letter too and possibly the word "ADVERTISEMENT". After all the who-haa a few years ago over the Sony medical records type advert this stuff is VERY clearly marked as an advertisment.
With those ads, they don't need to wonder if everybody thinks that Videogames make people to kill...... But, f**king good and creepy idea ;)
