TDULet's say you have a car designed in your head and you know it's a real winner so you want to unleash it to the world, but you just don't know the proper venue for the grand debut of your car. Well, this might be the venue you've been waiting for: Atari Inc.'s “Test Drive Unlimited – Be A Car Designer”.

In celebration of Design Week 2006, Test Drive Unlimited publisher Atari Inc. lets car enthusiasts, novice designers, gamers, and artists create an image of their dream car. The winning car concept will be featured as a fully-functioning 3D vehicle driving alongside the world's most recognizable cars like the Lamborghini, Ferrari, and Aston Martin in the M.O.O.R. game Test Drive Unlimited. Of course, there's also a monetary prize of $2,500.

The contest has officially begun yesterday. So get those creative juices churning because entries will be accepted only until June 30, 11:59:59pm EDT. If you're not into designing but you are still excited about the prospect of seeing a fresh entry in the car choices for the Xbox 360 and PSP game, have a say in which car wins the contest. Vote for the most imaginative and innovative concept from July 1, 12:00:01 am PDT to July 10, 11:59:59 PST.

Just log on to Test Drive Unlimited's official site (link below) for full details and official rules of “Test Drive Unlimited – Be A Car Designer” contest.

Eh

Thats good and everything but what are the chances of this happening to one of us? Slim to none or categorically a pipe dream.

Bad Attitude

Yeah, with a bad attitude or lack of skill, you definitely have no chance to win. I'm very interested to see what the winner's car DOES look like. I'm betting it looks amazingly like every other car on the road, though. Rarely does real innovation get rewarded.

well in my opinion...

the sexiest car that looks realistic, but original, should definetly win. We dont need any batmobiles in the game, and not another 4 door saloon car :D

Huh?

"Thats good and everything but what are the chances of this happening to one of us? Slim to none or categorically a pipe dream." What "chances"? This isn't a contest of luck, you design what the TDU fans think is the most imaginative car, and you win. Problem is figuring out what they like and want to see in a car, then some luck comes into play, guessing what they like. Still, it's not some random draw. Also, lol @ anyone who really thinks a "bad attitude" influences who wins in any contest. I could be the most pessemistic, person-hating ass in the world, still, if I come up with a car that the fans like and they vote for me, I win.

My car will win

I just designed a car that looks like a wiiner and when a car gets close it shoots gallons of genuine R Kelly urine all over the opponent.. Shizzle

Eh

To #6 there are different meanings to what the word chances mean. For example, one meaning I got out of a dictionary says that chances is "The likelihood of something happening; possibility or probability. Often used in the plural". So according to that, I am correct in using the term chances. Back to the topic, there are lots of people who are really good at designing cars with years of experience. I stand by my statements that the likely hood of one of you will win it is slim to none. Peace
