Silly yank.
Are you over weight?
I Agree with you on the games though.
Actually the gamers award was compiled by Readers of a Newspaper called the Sun in the UK.
This publication (the sun) is soley responsible for changing "youth" and
"lad" culture into seething cesspit of mis-information.
It is a pile of Nonense designed to change the way people think - so that they are fickle and stupid. Kind of like some yanks.
It's readers are more interested in footballers wives (we call them WAGS - Wanabee wives and girlfriends) shopping habbits and personal relationship problems than they are with real political, technological, society based or any news.
I HATE THE SUN.
So please yank, Dis the suns readers, not all of us.
some of us care.
(where was oblivion in this list?)

Oh dear oh dear...once again, the brits are "trying" to make logical decisions by sticking there big noses into something they don't know anything about.
For INNOVATION:
Dr Kawashima's BRAIN TRAINING: How Old Is Your Brain?
I'll agree here as this game does reach out to many ages including those that play GTA only and feel that that game is the greatest...heh...
For ARTISTIC ACHIEVEMENT: Shadow of the Colossus
Completely DISAGREE! This game has same 3d graphics as your next game on the shelf. Loco Roco would've fit in this catagory much better or even Viewtiful Joe.
For CHARACTER: Loco Roco in LocoRoco
Best character, well...everyone has there own opinion and this character has his moments. I'm sure this was a tough decision...honestly.
For STRATEGY: Rise and Fall: Civilizations at War
Mmmm...well, I thought Civ4 should've taken the cake here or even Age of Empires 3 at least, but oh well.
For CASUAL & SOCIAL: Buzz! The Big Quiz
Never heard of it...
For SCREENPLAY: Psychonauts
Another catagory that was NOT looked into better
For Children: LocoRoco
I'll definitely give this award to children.
For GAMEPLAY: Lego Star Wars II: The Original Trilogy
This decision was a bad choice. The game is great indeed, but not worthy of this award. Dead Rising offers better gameplay and more freedom when moving, GRAW has much better gameplay...this paper shouldn't even have touched games.
For SIMULATION: The Movies
Um...wheres Nintendogs??? Much better simulation than the Movies...
For MULTIPLAYER: Dungeons & Dragons Online: Stormreach
Now THIS is a JOKE!!! This game is one of the most HORRIBLE online games out there with a terrible battle system. Yes, I know its based off the rules of the board game, however, the board game doesn't always throw misses.
For ACTION & ADVENTURE: Shadow of the Colossus
A better award for this title
For TECHNICAL ACHIEVEMENT: Tom Clancy's Ghost Recon Advanced Warfighter
This catagory is a tough one to vote on, however, I'll give them the thumbs up on this decision
For SPORTS: Fight Night Round 3
This game definitely took people by surprise. Excellent choice.
For ORIGINAL SCORE: Tomb Raider: Legend
The music was nice in this game, however, so was the music in Spyro the Dragon, and Ultimate Ghosts and Goblins. Another catagory wasted on something that wasn't looked into.
For SOUNDTRACK: Guitar Hero
This is a joke...
For AUDIO: Electroplankton
Hmm...an Audio award...pretty broad don't cha think???
And the BEST GAME award goes to Tom Clancy's Ghost Recon Advanced Warfighter
This would be a tough choice for a best game award.
And THE GAMER'S AWARD (voted by "The Sun" readers) goes to 24: The Mobile Game
The Sun...who the hell is reading you??? 24: THE MOBILE GAME??????????
Stick to what you are better at...criticising others and attempting to make yourselves look better when really all you are doing is just making bigger asses of yourself!
Why teabag them when we can potato sack them!!!

You should stick to what your best at sitting on your couch with a soda pop in one hand, a cheese burger in the other, shoveling food into your overweight head killing all your braincells and watching american idol whilst wishing you were british so you could have some intelligence and culture with a country that has some dignity and isnt known worldwide to be the sespit of earth.

I do find it funny however how Brits use the same jokes to Americans and vice versa...we all need to grow up (including myself).
