Atari is determined to cross generations (literally and figuratively) as it delivers to gamers the next-gen versions of its timeless classic games with Atari Classics Evolved for the PlayStation Portable.

This next-gen port shows off old-school games that were originally released on the Atari 2600, the grandmother of all consoles. While Atari did a lot to improve the graphics to match the current generation of consoles, it still doesn't change the fact that these games are still as addictive today as when they first came out around 30 year ago.

You can take a look at a couple of these games from the two videos we were able to get our hands on below. Asteroids and Missile Command exemplify the best of nearly endless gameplay where quick reflexes and an even quicker trigger finger will get you places.

Atari Classics Evolved is expected to hit shelves this December 4 and will be exclusive to Sony's PlayStation Portable. In the meantime, why not enjoy these two nostalgic gameplay videos we have on these old-school games.
