Assassin's Creed: Bloodlines details, gameplay vid, and PSP bundle info |

Sony has finally detailed the Assassin's Creed: Bloodlines PSP bundle that they announced back in February. They've also posted a new trailer and gotten producer Frederic Lefrancois to give us a brief background on the game and how it ties into the Assassin's Creed universe.
First, let's talk bundle. The limited edition Assassin's Creed: Bloodlines PSP Entertainment Pack will come with a pristine white PSP-3000, a copy of the game, an unnamed UMD movie, and a 2GB Memory Stick PRO Duo. You can pick this bundle up in November for US$ 199.99.

Storyline:
AssassinÂ’s Creed: Bloodlines follows AltairÂ’s story right after the events of AssassinÂ’s Creed as he hunts down the ascending Templars in Cyprus. ItÂ’s the only game that explains the link between AssassinÂ’s Creed and AssassinÂ’s Creed 2. If you want to understand how Ezio is born and where the Codex comes from, you need this game.
Gameplay:
You can expect to enjoy the core gameplay of the original AssassinÂ’s Creed including the signature free-running and the intuitive combat system. Before killing his targets, Altair will get to complete a variety of missions, not always investigations. There are 8 new mission types and we wanted each mission to feel as fresh and exciting as the final Assassination moment.
As it was the case in AssassinÂ’s Creed, Altair will get to explore various large cities. This time around Altair will discover the cities of Limasol and Kyrenia in Cyprus, a beautiful and historically very interesting island in the Mediterranean Sea.
Once again, you can expect Altair to master his environment while performing all of his signature moves. In fact, Altair will free-run, sprint, fly between beams and climb everywhere to take advantage of its surroundings. This is a huge benchmark technology wise as this kind of freedom of movement has never been seen before on the PSP.
PS3-PSP Connectivity
As players unlock health and Hidden blade upgrades in AssassinÂ’s Creed 2 PS3, the same upgrades will be unlocked in AssassinÂ’s Creed: Bloodlines (PSP). It also works the other way round: on the PS3 you will be able to access any Templar Coins and special weapons youÂ’ve collected on the PSP.

The PSP has finally hit its groove. There are major players starting to hit it with great games. I know there were already some, but now there are a good number of great games coming.
Sony, you didn't lie to use about this being a good year for PSP software.
A game this good is bound to be hit pretty hard by piracy. I really hope that they implement some extra kind of security to force people to buy this game, otherwise games as good as this won't come around anymore.
I pirate 50% of my PSP games, but the truly exceptional ones (in my opinion) I always buy (Patapon 1 & 2, LocoRoco 1 & 2, Monster Hunter Freedom Unite, Ratchet and Clank, that new Jak and Daxter Game, this new Assassin's Creed game, etc.).
We need to support games like these people! If it's good, buy it!
Could not have said it better. I am actually psyched to be an owner of a PSP this year! (Not that I wasn't the other years, but this year is exceptionally awesome.)

ive played patapon1 and both loco ricos and truthfully they are both garbage
no one playes puzzle games anymore
the game they should be worried about defending is socom 3 that is going to be released for the psp and this one too but not so much and also all upcoming multiplayer games.

Thoug i think they are trying to give the psp a boost this year to announce a new psp, "psp2" so to speak, because if they get a great year form this one, the next one will be even more popular than the 1st, especially if they have the r2/l2 and second analog stick. And IMO. i think the psp go was just a prototype design for the next psp, i mean, look at where the start and select buttons are, an area meant for a second stick. They musta thought it as a good design and wanted to get a public opinion so they release it the form of the "psp go" to see what everyone thins..and imo its a great design, just too small.
its not the fact that a game comes with multi-player capabilities that drags them to the jowls of piracy, its the pure awesomeness that the game delivers. patapon and loco roco are one of the great ever developed for the psp. but even if some games dont deliver as well as the others, or just plain awful, they still end up being piracted.
you shouldn't make those kind of generalizations
Are the only games I have bought this year. Patapon2 I only just finished after clocking up 80 hours - value for money.
a prequel on the ds, the game on pc and consoles, a continuation on the psp. of only altairs story.
the only companies that need support more than other are the small companies!
did you ever play okami? that game was unique, and the studio that made it made other unique games. games that drive games forward in originality.

it's the weird games that need more buyers, not the mainstream stuff.
theirs allways a way around "extra security" but i dont think it will matter. if a game is good lots of people will buy it. just look at the numbers of dissidia when it came out in japan... tons of people bought it!
