Armored Core 3 getting PSP port |
Ó

Looks like Japanese mechaphiles will be getting another giant robot game to play on their PlayStation Portables soon.
According to the latest Famitsu issue, a PSP remake of From Software's PS2 title Armored Core 3 will be announced this Friday. Armored Core 3 Portable will include a multiplayer ad-hoc mode as well as support for Sony's Ad-hoc Party service. Customization options have also been beefed up.
The announcement's still coming but the game already has a July 30 release date. It's still Japan-only at the moment, but since the original was released overseas maybe this remake will have a similar fate.

PLIZ MORE GAME STRATEGY WARZER...
Oh so glad to see more and more games coming to the PSP! Havn't played an amored core for along time, hope its good.
It'd be nice if Silent Line, since it's pretty much an AC3 expansion, is also included within the game.
Silent line was great.. but I really loved Nexus. that's when I really started to love the PS2 versions. Most of the limitations from the previous (AC3 and SlientLine) were rectified and new options for customizations were added as well as Battle Damage (visual) and the ability to jettison any empty weapons to make the AC lighter and faster.
Either way I'm looking forward to this. Hopefully we'll see more PS2 titles getting some PSP love. but honestly I would love to see this game with the still rumored PSP2 (because of the dual analog nubs)
First off, this is absolutely awesome news hearing that AC3 will be hitting the PSP. My fingers are definitely crossed for the hope that it will be coming to US shores as well!
Now onto my reply, I personally thought Nexus was terrible. It was a great idea, especially the fact that there were two disks (EVOLUTION and REVOLUTION) involved, but they seriously nuked the heat system with nexus - energy took a hit too. Seriously, Overboost would melt you every time you tried to use it that you might as well have been using Standard type cores (I know I was, Cronus core + Vixen legs + Loris arms FTW). And for those who don't know, Evolution was the nexus story, and Revolution gave you a shot at playing revamped missions of prior games like AC: Project Phantasma.
Personally, I got introduced to Armored Core with AC3, so this is huge news indeed. Until it comes to the US, though, I'll still be rocking it up in Armored Core: For Answer on PS3. :3
