American-Korean FTA is good for curbing piracy says ESA

Piracy - Image 1The Entertainment Software Association has applauded the recent forging of a free trade agreement between the US and South Korea which will not only make it easier for publishers to bring games to and fro, it also helps fight software piracy.

According to the USA, opening better trade relations with one of the most economically-successful countries in Asia will result in "non-discriminatory and duty-free treatment for all digital products." This means that both countries will enjoy equal opportunities in the market to sell their wares.

This also means, according to software publishers, that the campaign against piracy has been bolstered because intellectual rights will be safeguarded whether they're in retail stores or up for sale in the internet.

Both the US and South Korea have populations where gaming is a big business. They also have extensive broadband connections among the citizenry to make them two of the world's most wired nations. Business opportunities abound as the game makers in the regions are innovative and successful at what they do.

You can never stop freedom and sharing. Eventually these "governments" these groups of people just like us, except with high levels of corruption and greed, will no longer exist to push us around.

Download what you wish my friends, download at will!

FREEDOM IS OUR CAUSE, BULLETS ARE OUR FIGHT!

In confetti or fire we shall walk with arms, hands with frags, we cannot be stopped.

Yet another reason to hate QJ for being a bunch of moronic mindless religious *****footed douche bags that are afraid of everything, including, sharing, freedom, the constitution, and of course logical common knowledge. Imagine, if everyone was always speeding on the road-ways, if every-one didn't pay their taxes, if everyone understood that we need to fight to keep our rights contained within our hemp constitution! We MUST FIGHT, AND KILL OUR ENEMY, OUR OWN CORRUPT KIND! QJ is now known as QB. IE: Queer-bates.net For all your gayness needs, reporting about things like a fictional hardcore porn book, and anti-freedom things like this.

You will perish with the rest of the likes of you, Glen and the queer-bates.net team.

P.S. Forgot to mention, you will never stop "sharing" Someone legit goes out and buys the software, and that righteous person than goes and uploads it to the net for everyone else. Most times these "pirated" games are prevented from normal operation or online operation, so it shouldn't even matter. When you look at it, these companies that are complaining still make millions a year. The only reason they are complaining is because the money that doesn't come to them (because of "sharing") is the money they were going to pocket for themselves. Well, that shouldn't be how a company works. The point is to make money, but for the company, not for someones greedy dirty little pocket for greenback.

Besides, a lot of people are pissed of because they go out and spend $50 bucks on something that isn't worth half of that. They play the game, realize it sucks and they wasted their money. Always happens, and always will. The further we get a long the more the games will suck. It means less work for them and more money for their pockets. All the while they are *****ing us over for our money, so they can go buy their 8th yacht. Well remember kids, you can only ski behind one of those yachts at a time.

So, when will it come time to realize that the world is changing? NOW, for the past couple of years it has started. Once 2012 arrives everyone will realize my words for what they are. Barbaric non-sense (like religion) will be abolished and Original freedoms purposed by our fathers will be returned, while all of the corruption will melt away.

It simple, you will, I should say, you couldn't ever stop sharing. You never will. How is this for a minds image, would you rather be apart of the group of pissed off peasants that get their justice, or apart of the kings horsemen that get pulled off of their horses with sharp sticks and mutilated to death by said peasants?

Enjoy your pathetic blind life's, you drones.

Not only that, but your stupid little picture applies to more than just software.

What about the earth? We don't own the *****ing planet yet we lay concrete over its beauty everyday. We don't own water, trees, the land, the dirt, etc. So how can we be using it? You are a hypocrite dumb*****, glen, and I hope you know this. I hope you don't make it through this incredible life. Same goes to the likes of you fools.

"If you dont own me, dont use me"

...erm, if i download a game and burn it, then i own it... its in my shelf then, so its mine...

They cant stop piracy, they invent new counter-messures, pirates invent new ways of getting theire stuff out... its that easy.

The amount of stupidity in these comments is staggering. Granted, the article doesn't make mention of the types of piracy found in asian countries (the rampant selling of pirated materials in stores and on the street), but these comments are geting out of hand.

My favorite quote thus far:

"Imagine, if everyone was always speeding on the road-ways, if every-one didn't pay their taxes, if everyone understood that we need to fight to keep our rights contained within our hemp constitution!"

How could you drive your car on the roadway if:

1 - there were no taxes to pay for the construction of the roadway?

2 - the car manufacturer could not produce his or her cars because there was no money to make them?

3 - the rights of people to make a profit from their labor and resources was DENIED by communists like you?

Another good quote: "We don't own water, trees, the land, the dirt, etc. So how can we be using it?"

Please leave your home tomorrow. I'm buldozing it, and you don't have any problem, right - since you don't own the land or the items upon it.
