AllixPartners LLP: Sony most trusted brand |

AlixPartners LLP, a global corporate-advisory firm, has released their inaugural Brand Power Index (BPI) for 2007. What most will be surprised to know though, is the fact that Sony has come up as the most dominant and influential brand power in the said Index.Sony beat out the likes of Nike, as well as other companies who have been gunning for this number one spot. AlixPartners pointed out in their press release that product quality has generally become better market wide. A lot of consumers today put importance on brand placement, availability and pricing, along with offered tech support, which apparently Sony has been providing. This new information should give most companies a heads-up on what consumers are really looking for in the brands and items that they support.
Here's the top ten list from the Brand Power List:
- Sony (NYSE-SNE)
- Johnson & Johnson (NYSE-JNJ)
- Kraft (NYSE-KFT)
- Procter & Gamble (NYSE-PG)
- CampbellÂ’s (NYSE-CPB)
- Toyota (NYSE-TM)
- Tylenol
- Dell (NasdaqGS-DELL)
- General Mills (NYSE-GIS)
- Hewlett-Packard (NYSE-HPQ)

Yey first! Sony is the most trusted ever!
I don't see how Sony took top credit here, seeing as how their product pricing is usually outrageous (WEGA, anyone?), their costomer service is shameful (you would know if you ever had a broken PSP unit), and they are generally not generating brand loyalty because of those aspects. Maybe I'm the only one who thinks so but ... Sony's not really that great. I love my PSP, but I don't care very much for Sony as a company.
yeah man.....love their products... since around 2004 the stereos, surround sound speakers, headphones, vaios, psp, blu ray, PS3, phenomenal.....I will always buy SONY, just do some homework first as always with tech.....but trust the quality of SONY!

Love my PS3, my Sony Bravia and my Blu-Ray Casino Royale! Sony make awesome sound systems,hdtv's etc.... SONY is SIMPLY THE BEST!!!
I'd have to say even as a child I still remember that if I saw a CD player with Sony on it I knew it was good, and that idea still holds true today. If I want a high quality HD experience I look to the Sony brand.
Every TV i have ever owned has been a Sony, and it will always only be Sony because like it or not, they have the best quality electronics, so you can ***** off and go watch your samsung tv's and your whatever the ***** brand name it is... i will stick with the real deal...
I guess you have to trust what you put into your month and body first. For Sony, I have really no hardware issues with them at all. All CD players, PS1-3 and reciever works fine. They should look into the sound quality of their speakers, a little tin-can effect. Sony's TVs are elite and pricey. I usually can see the difference in store, but can't get the high price factor.
microsoft isnt up there on the list because there always asking for cash to fix your pc or a simple upgrade (which should be free ether way)
Funny you don't see Apple in that list either. How the hell did Hewlett-Packard get in there. I would never buy a HP product.
i can't believe they beat toyota and p&g thats crazy! and tylenol made it, it's not even a company it's a product. they're making so much money .

"if you ever broken a psp unit" I did! 10mins in a call centre and next day replacement of it with a brand new faceplate and screen. Doesn't seem to bad to me.
Idiot - Sony don't make Gran turismo - polyphony do so get your facts right before you speak. BTW its "on hold" until GT5 is completed. (Its not gonna happen!) TBH i would actually trust Sony even if there products are more expensive usually they never seem to break. Apart from my headphones but they take some battering I assure you.
