PSP Go - Image 1

Sony's Jeff Rubenstein has revealed that "just about" every new PSP game released after the PSP Go launches on October 1 will be available as digital downloads.

"ItÂ’s my understanding that just about everything hitting after October 1 will be available for download," read Rubenstein's post on the US PlayStation Blog.

Rubenstein is referring mostly to first-party titles, as he also insinuated that third-party publishers and/or developers may have the final say on whether or not to make their releases downloadable.

PSN

The PSP Go looks nice there. Small + no glare. If only the screen was that easy to view.

.

Sorry to disappoint, put that Patapon screen looks photoshopped.

.

That is why I said "If only the screen *was* that easy to view" because they're not going to leave it unedited. It looks like they have also added a soft focus which give the illusion that the focus is smaller than it really is. It still looks nice. Even though it is altered but that goes without saying; what advert isn't...

Sony's behind in the times.

All PSP games released period have always been downloadable. ... Just in a way that Sony wouldn't exactly approve of.

Umd

I never realised before if.. UMD's go then so does piracy.. they're slowly turning the tables on us..

Although...

I would be very happy if that was the case, I don't believe this will be the end of piracy, unfortunately. Someone will always find a way. I mean, I believe the PSN-only titles have already been hacked to run on devices which they were not bought for..

price

I assume the prices of the digital downloads will be significantly lowered to reflect the absence of manufacturing costs, much smaller transportation costs, and total lack of resale-value (when compared to UMD) Just like instead of buying Resistance Retribution special edition on UMD for 26 euros, you can instead choose to download the normal edition for 40 euros? Oh wait...
