PR - adhocParty Beta Starts In Japan - Image 1After a week's delay, the Ad hoc Party Beta has finally launched on the Japanese PlayStation Network. Now monsters in Monster Hunter Portable 2nd G can par-tay, Ad Hoc style.

Ok, that was weak. You get the idea though.

Next game on the list to support Ad hoc Party Beta will be Phantasy Star Portable. No news yet on when this will be available in other regions, but if you can get yourself a Japanese PSN account, let us know how it goes.

Now in case this is your first time hearing about Ad hoc Party, it's a new PSP service that gives internet compatibility to Ad hoc based games, via the PlayStation 3's network. The PS3 even provides voice chat.

Needless to say - so, of course I'll say it anyway - you'll need a PS3 to make this work. Kinda defeats the idea of the Portable in PlayStation Portable, but hey, monsters need to fight.

x link kai defeats the "portable" in Playsation Portable too, but plenty of people use it. This is just Sony's way and giving people what they want so don't knock it Isaac.

I wasn't dissing on the AdHoc party, 73N5H1, I just feel that it's a shame that the PS3 is a requirement.

Interesting. Yeah, that would be nice to hear for Dissidia. For some reason though, I've a stronger feeling Square Enix might use it for FF Agito 13. Hmm. Shrug.

Yeah, maybe both games, but I see it more likely for Agito. Can't say for sure why thoguh...

This is awesome! I had heard what I thought was a rumor about this a while back. I really hope that they release this to other regions as well as include this in Monster Hunter Freedom U.

I can get Xkai to work but usually I don't find anyone who wants to play on. Also the firmware causes my router to crash randomly so I had to revert it. :P

Also, this will let less tech savy players play as well.
