40GB PS3 model, PSP Slim & Lite coming to India - Image 1Sony's PlayStation Experience recently visited India to make a couple of announcements that will make PlayStation 3 and PlayStation Portable fans alike in the region very happy.

Unlike the PlayStation Experience in other regions that are usually composed of roving trucks carrying consoles, the one India had back in November 24 and 25 was a full-blown expo with 32 PS3 units, 14 PS2 units, 18 PSP consoles, and 50 Bravia TV units.

During the expo, it was revealed that Sony will also be releasing the 40GB PS3 model in India  this month for 24,990 Rupees or roughly around US$ 629.40, a bit high compared to the pricing in North America.

It was also announced that the new PSP Slim & Lite will be launched in the region for 8,990 Rupees (US$ 226. 42). Two bundles will be available, the Spider-Man bundle for 10,490 Rupees (US$ 264.20) and the Simpsons bundle for 9,990 Rupees (US$ 251.61).
