Diabolik, the main protagonist of Artematica's Diabolik: The Original Sin - Image 1He may not be Solid Snake, but he comes from the same shadowy world as the everyone's favorite military stealth operative. Italian development studio Artematica, along with publisher Black Bean, is set to bring the cult comic book anti-hero Diabolik to life with his first video game title, Diabolik: The Original Sin.

The master thief will star in a third person adventure game, which is a fusion of the point-and-click genre coupled with fast-paced combat and stealth sequences. Considering the cloak-and-dagger nature of Diabolik's comic book origins, he definitely makes a smooth transition from the old pulp fiction medium into the trendy stealth game genre which is quite popular nowadays.

In addition, the visuals for the game definitely look interesting enough. Based on some of the previous screenshots we've already taken from it, Diabolik: The Original Sin will feature a unique mix of 2D black and white comic-style animations on a 3D background.

This title is definitely a bold step towards the adventure genre. We're interested in seeing where the development of this game will be going in the next few months. Fans can expect Diabolik: The Original Sin to be released this Autumn for the PC, PlayStation Portable, Wii, and DS.
