Video: a preview of AcidMod's razor nub |
Ó
For those of you left out, and have no idea what this was all about here's a refresher: The Razor Nub is an attempt to create a right nub to fit - and more importantly, balance perfectly - with its counterpart on the left side. Judging from the video, they've got a design that meets that goal.
The description that comes with the video notes that the nub is still in its testing phase and is not fully functional at the moment. Do we really care though? We're quite sure that they'll be able to iron out the problems with it in time. What's news here is that so far, it looks amazing. Yes, we're all green with envy.

Hey FOOf00, nice work! (as always)
I think this will be added to the list of things that I'll get you to do for my PSP ;)
I would love his!! I wonder how much it would cost to get installed?
I wonder whats not fully functional about it?
i think it looks very nice, like it was there the whole time. it looks very professionally done.
to be honest, i hated the position of the single analogue nub so to put the 2nd one in the same spot on the other side would make it twice as bad for me. i prefer the modded ps2 analogue stick that was done a while ago.
What game is that?
The mod looks awesome! Good job!
looks like counterstrike but with a better map.. i dont really know and would like to find out also...
The game he was playing was Ghost in The Shell
Hah, I was playing that earlier. I just got to Chapter 4, and learned about the double-tap-turn thing. Beats me how I survived that long without it. Awesome game though, I love it.
Looks cool and everything, but the psp wasn't designed with a right analog stick, so how does this work?
its hard wired into the buttons on th right side so its not true analog but it beats using buttons for it
F00f00 simply is showing you the development stage we are in right now, he is only part of the team that is developing this mod, F00 is the one who gives you guys a peek into what we are working on at the moment, though QJ seems to think that F00 is the one who does everything at AcidMods.
CyberPyrot actually created the concept and the new design, Neubit is making the prototypes for us...
It's not fully functional, because it's still in the prototype phase, we are working out some bugs and working on the actual design before the final production models are made. It works but is not ready for production yet...
Man that looks real nice, could be real, if only Sony had thought of it.
Dj shadow is getting more populair by the day:)
He is the best
What part would this take in playing games?
i don't know if its me or if anyone else knows anything about this but i don't know how this functions diagonally. let me explain - it looks like from the video that the nub is kinda faulty when it comes to being pushed in a diagonal look point. it looks like the x and y axis of up, down, left, right are possible. but is looking up AND right at the same time not very effective with this nub?

Love the backround music!Dj shadow is the man!
What song is it?
maybe they're trying to put variable speed into it somehow O.O that would be so sweet
foo foo is the best modder out there. go FooFoo!
again, it was >NOT< F00 f00 who invented this mod, it was cyberpyrot and Neubit for christs sake
its really cool but it doen't look very persise
like i play gears of war for hours but when i look at this i can't imagine getting a head shot
it moves around to much
you can really aim on one spot that fast and easyily, unlike the xbox360 controller
but still good
hopes it gets better in time
it is more suitible looking then the other 2nd anolog that sticks out at the side
dude i hope they sell kits so we can all mod our psps.
Well, I did have a certain amount of input as I built this entirely by hand and was involved in the designing of it. Not trying to steel anyones thunder.
you actually bought that crappy game?
i cant bleve you people. this is stupid foofoo is a noob. when will you all relise this adetion takes away your power suply and usb takes 5 hours to charge.
