Tricked out two-in-one PSP mod by F00 f00 |
Ó
The rig consists of carefully adding additional LED points from the original, with the note key switching the indicator from mem to power to WiFi. A second mode changes the LED scheme to a light blue with a variation for a pulsing effect tied in with the headphone amp.
The color switching itself is handled by a PIC microcontroller embedded into the handheld. But enough technical jargon - simply put, this mod turns your PSP into a wicked handheld complete with all the mood lights and effects that you could ever look for.
F00 f00 mentioned that he will be putting the unit on sale through coolmods.co.uk some time next week, so people who want to get their hands on this hot item should keep their eyes out for it.
In the meantime, why not tide yourselves over with the video of this tricked out PSP we have below.

I noticed this because i'm constantly checking my own battery so i don't forget to save in time.. all those light are draining the battery..~ you can see the PSP's gas tank is on empty.. LED's don't take much power to run but if you're away from an outlet of some kind this will definatly shorten your battery life somewhat.
That is one awesome PSP. Me wanteee!
lol
Obviously if you want your PSP to look like that you wouldnt care about battery life. Not everyone does. I know I don't.
Why do you want flashing lights when you playing on a car? the screen is already too bright in the car. only part I like is just the flashing L button and R Button while playing music. I don't want my whole psp like that on youtube. PSP already drains much battery life.
I've done many of these mods, and based on personal experience and the specs of the LEDs and the PSP's battery size, the LEDs won't draw enough power to really diminish battery life too much (it comes out to about 20-30 minutes less than it would be without the LEDs, and that's based on the number of LEDs in that PSP, fewer LEDs will draw less power and leave you with a little more play time...), not to mention that you can turn the LEDs in that PSP off, so if you want that extra 20-30 turn em off, if you don't care then leave em on... and if you think it looks bad and is ridiculous and gaudy then just don't do it, don't complain about how it looks, maybe the person who had it installed likes the way it looks and thinks your PSP looks bad... try a perspective other than your own once in a while...
