Looks like somebody couldn't wait on Sony Ericsson to release their official PSP Phone. Chinese modders tore open their Sony handheld to make a PSP Phone worthy of Frankenstein. Click on the pictures above for some close-ups.
Not much is known about this mod as of now - not if it can make calls, or make texts or anything. But that's mostly because we can't read Chinese. At any rate, it does look like an awesome mod. For the curious, the phone they used - according to one poster on the Jewel Factory - is a Haier m2000.
We'll keep you updated as soon as we find out more.

this isnt worthy of front page, and ofcourse it can make calls
all theyve done is cut a hole in the back of the psps casing and stuck the phone in
they probably didnt even bother having the phone take the psps, power supply
whenever they get the screen of the psp using a phone, then it will be a bit more interseting but not that much

It's unpractical.
This thing is just plain dumb. I'm not trying to hurt feelings but it looks crappy and I can see that you need alot of charisma to walk in public with that thing. It's bulky and replaces the only thing that makes it a PSP, the drive lol.

You can play from the memory stick, which is faster and better
looks to me that it sacrifices umd functionality.
how would you hold it to make calls?
would the speaker be the same as the psps? and whre would the mic be?
a bit of a waste of time i reckon
because they don't lag and have a faster access time. for some games though ms is better but for others, mainly racing and gta, the umd is better.
images work. its your own fault
Don't open the images in tabs as they wont enlarge then and it's useless since they open in a pop-up anyway.
no way are umd's better. memory stick games are WAY faster because it doesnt read from a laser, it loads right up.
China couldn't wait but the bloggers of QJ waited 3 months to post since this PSPhone was created...i submitted an attempt to share the news and uploaded these photos to be used, but i again it was ignored

YES the phone makes phone calls, there were even detailed pics of the inside wiring showing that the phone is using the PSP Battery!
