It doesn't really solve the problem of only having one memory stick because you still can't use them both at the same time without discomfort. If it was on the othe side it would be a more useful attachment I would think.

Firstly i assume you mean having one analog stick, rather than 1 memory stick.



Secondly it's not a 2nd analog stick in the sense that it can do different things to the current stick, check out:

You'll see the 2 sticks perform the same function, it's just easier on the thumb.

that is just a usb socket, it is not a real usb input, it will only work for the analog

i think this is a great mod but isnt it difficult to use the left shoulder button with this?

i wouldn't mind buying that ^^ because this could mean that one day someone could make a homebrew to play ps2 games ... but would need some more shoulder buttons :/ but still, he's got a good idea on a mod .

Er... well, responding Edlad + _F1 we should remember the 3.0 FW and its PSX emulator. Lots of games use TWO analog sticks. How this will be taken care of, we should wait + pray.

its doesnt work for usb its jut for the jotstick

yeah man the whole left hand side is a bit of a waist, we got a anologue stick on the left allready. . . but i see why hes done it coz it would be a mission to map the cross square triangle and circle buttons to an anolouge imput and also i can't think of any games that have controls mapped those button unless some of the new 3D fps homebrews support it in the future, such as psp doom ! that would be aswome, then maby we can have Z.0.E on psp one day then my handheld will be compleat! as we have FF7 and DDR for the psp in the works as of firmware 3.00

Coded arms would be greatly helped by a 2nd analog stick, or something. This mod looks really good, and I have to say that my analog nub on my psp isn't the most responsive thing ever, sometimes it sticks to the right and dosen't center rotally, so something like this, to use a quality analog stick, would be awesome! good work.

The PS2's analog stick is the best for its smoothness, 2nd to the Xbox S controller, just because the xbox controller has better thumb grips imo.

Lol. King of an easy project, other than the cutting a hole in the middle of the faceplate. I could've done this, but I loke my PSP unmodified.

I can see how this would be a good attachment, allowing the thumb to stay in a more relaxed position. I can't tell ya how many times I had to stop in the middle of intense game play just to give my thumbs a break . And yah, the casing is nice too. I like how the thing just plugs and plays. I would have to say the best thing about it is you wouldn't need any stinkin firmware update to run it...lol.

its not a usb port like u think yeah its a usb connector but thats just coincedance that it happens work out in the design. it does not in any way connect to the mem stick so don think this would work on ur computer. xcept maybe using ur keybar in some wierd way as an analog stick. 3 he cant put it on the other side ot make any buit of a difference cause u can only use i analog at a time THIS IS NOT A SECOOND ANALOG STICK. 3 this is just sadured into the analog stick its not directly connected to the psp so its pretty much just an analog mod. ok i hope some of u learned sumthin today till next time 4 really need to try this so if i got some free time in gonna try it my self since my nub has been broken for some time now

I always find using the current stick uncomforable. I Would LOVE this. If only I could purchase this, but I don't see how i could buy the input, seeing as how it would have to be added into my PSP.

k its kinda cool but on the other side it would be more better then u could use two at once for like a fps game or something then some one could emulate halo on the psp that would be sweet

Geez, a lot of you ppl are dumb. This isn't a completely seperate analog stick, it just piggy-backs from the nub. You should look into things more before you make yourself look like a fool by posting your (obviously) uninformed replies.



Also, placement isn't an issue, you could place it just about anywhere on the casing that isn't already occupied. Joe just placed it where it's most comfortable to him.

At least YOU get it, Samball91. Actually, All of the buttons CAN be moved "outside the box" (though I'm not sure if the D-PAD would work with a literal analog joystick -- it'd be closer to an atari joystick; they could be moved to the other side though.)



What I'm thinking is an entire mod for a PS1/2 controller... it'd take some work, but it IS possible (minus the extra R2 and L2 buttons); and if FW3.0 is going to emu psx then maybe sony will give us a usb controller of their own? Maybe not...
