TechRestore - Fix your PSP Overnight!

TechRestore, the company that will repair your MAC, PC, laptop or Ipod and return it within 24 hours, have now extended their service to the Sony PSP.

TechRestore's new service, called PSP-Restore will allow owners of faulty PSP's to buy the overnight repair package for just $29, and have their PSP picked up from their home. TechRestore will then analyse the PSP to tell you what' wrong, and give a call back with a repair price for the system. They will then repair your console and send it back to you via overnight delivery. If this process goes to plan you should receive your beloved, now fixed PSP back within 24 hours. And if you think the repair bill is too large, they'll just send your PSP back to you. All repairs also come with a 6 month warranty. This service could  be a lifeline for some PSP users. You're probably better off paying to get it fixed via TechRestore than sending it off to Sony under guarantee. Sony might send it back to you with the latest firmware version on it.

If you're fed up with dead pixels you can also order a LCD screen replacement from TechRestore. This service is pretty costly, at $108.99 with overnight pickup and return, or $89.99 if you choose the self ship option - but your screen will look just as it did when you bought it!

I know the question will be asked, so I'll answer it now. If you have a bricked PSP they probably won't be able to fix it, but it might be possible if they replace the flash memory or something; but I like i said, I doubt it.

@ 2:06 - A Broken LCd screen =)

» I think..

.. It's an example of a broken LCD screen. I'm glad to see this, that companys would help repair PSPs, even though sometimes at a hefty fine. Though I'm more of a "do-it-yourself" guy. I've built my own computers, fixed them myself and more. I would rather fix my own PSP if I had problems with it since I can learn something new in the process. So far I've never had a problem with mine.. I plan on buying a mobo with 1.00-2.00 firm though since I'm on 2.60 right now. I might just buy a new psp instead though. One of the white ones.

i broke mine last year.. 5 days after i bought it. stepped on the screen. finally broke down and ordered a screen off of egay for 80 bucks, took 2 hours to replace it. not too hard, but it's not easy. if you are a moron like 99% of the population don't bother replacing it yourself. If you modded your PS2 or PS1 then you can do it.

» too much

Xboxrepairguide .com sells the parts for a lot cheaper, plus little things like the power switch they replace for around $25. $30 just for them to look at it and then whatever the cost for the part? like i said, too much!

» This place is crap!

I sell replacement PSP parts on ebay cheaper than anyone/anywhere (especially than this place their advertising). My username is Jalard123. This weekend, I'm gonna list a v1.5 motherboard, a UMD drive, the power switch, the analog nub, and some misc. stuff (speakers, power connector, etc).
