We've seen quite a handful of PSP mods out there centering on LEDs. And though a sound-reactive LED mod has been done before on the PSP Phat, here's one for the PSP Slim. L0rdNic0 managed to recreate the LED mod on his PSP Slim a few days ago, and now, he's finally posted a video of it. Here, we see the shoulder buttons of the PSP Slim blink to the beat.

This mod didn't require any add on switches whatsoever, and he's able to turn the LEDs on and off without suffering any functionality loss. The PSP Slim is already pimped out as it is. Glad to know some people find familiar ways from the PSP Phat era to pimp out the Slim even more. Lights go blinky-blinky; check it out:

L0rdNic0 intends to release a full tutorial for his PSP Slim LED mod sometime this coming week (he said he'll try to get it up by Monday). For now, you can visit the discussion thread he's created on our QJ.NET forums. Just so you know, this is his first mod, so why don't you guys give him all a warm welcome!

» Why can't Sony add something cool like this to the Slim?

If they had I might actually have bought one

Sony really needs to check in on the homebrewn scene and see what type of innovations are taking place. Then steal it! Hey, it worked for Microsoft!

» ahem

» draining

hardware mod, homebrew, whats the difference in this case? the point s*****man is trying to make is that sony should keep an out for cool innovations like this and look to incorporate them in into their new hardwares! with all that said, the battery on the psp doesnt last long enough as it is, so this energy draining gimmick would be no go for me anyway.
