Ó

sim over at the Acidmods site dropped us a line earlier about a project one of their members, aka kypes, just finished. It's a time-lapse video of all the mods the author pulled off on a PSP about a month ago. See if you can spot some of these familiar customizations:
  • UMD Door Mod
  • LED swap
  • WiFI switch insulating
  • Prepare Musik Modchip (Im386)
  • LED Install
  • UMD LED install
As a follow-up to the time-lapse vid, kypes also recorded a video demonstrating what all these combined mods do on the handheld. Both clips are available below, although the readers can also drop by the Acidmods forums via the source link to send in their feedback to the modder. Happy viewing!

I'll never understand people wanting to mod their consoles. Translucent 360's with green LEDs, shiny blue LEDs on the PSP, etc.

The designers of the console put a lot of work in to make it look good. That's enough for me.

Nice job, though. Looks like it took a helluva lot of work.

I sense a good idea to make a profit here.... Selling modded consoles like that. I know I'd have mine modded! I'd do it myself if I had any chance of not destroying it! Great work!

ill explain it, so listen. i think peoples modding for the same reason as cartuner or fashionnists, they want to be DIFFERENT, wich means to look better, beautifu ller, etc or to be someone special or to get girls or to be cooler or.. or.. or..

get it? if not read again...or google, if yes congratulation.

no need to say thx this one was for free (-;

so you ban people for swearing in your forums, yet you let a video with the lyrics saying "put your hands up in the mother F***ing air" go all over your front pages and will soon spread across all other psp sites... nice, reaaal smart qj.

If you mod your PSP to get girls you are a virgin!

What terrible music. That PSP ain't gonna get you any girls, I can tell you that much.

A few LED mods are nice, but you went a bit freakin' overkill there buddy. It's not too impressive that your PSP can show a bass line like a black womans ass.

I wonder how fast the battery will be eaten up by those led lights.

can mod the heck out of a psp but can't spell "build" at the end of the video. Go figure.
