Night Light - Image 1And this makes it three. PSP modder PvP (aka Tony Hoang) over at AcidMods has apparently been kicking it into overdrive lately, as he informs us of another project that's just been completed. This new mod will ensure that any onboard LEDs mods will only activate under low-light conditions and won't turn on (and drain your battery) when it's bright.

As PvP explained, this was done by wiring the LEDs to a light-sensitive PCB before hooking them up to a power PCB. The sensor is taken from a light-sensitive night light - PvP used the one to the right - which should be readily available in stores. The mod has been described as easy to duplicate and will require the following materials:
  • PSP
  • LEDs
  • IDE cable wires or very thin wires
  • Soldering iron
  • Solder
  • Light-sensitive nightlight ($1.50 at a thrift store)
Full install instructions are available at the AcidMods site, provided at the Read link below. There aren't any videos of images available for the mod at the moment - we'll let you know if PvP decides to update with these items.

Please read this, you will be excited. When you click this link, http://xrl.us/2z4h you will go to a website that will show you how to sign up for another website that pays you 2 - 45$ (PER) to do surveys, sign up for trial offers, and test products.

Companies such as ebay pay CC to have people try their offers, and when you complete an offer, CC simply passes the money onto you. By spending an average of 3-4 hours a week on cascrate,

I have made 472$ in May, 412$ in June, and 271$ (SO FAR) in July. You get paid in real checks from "KNGSIDE MEDIA" every month that you earn 10 dollars or more. It may seem too good to be true,

but I assure you it IS true. Also, with their referral program, you can refer people by sending them your link (you get when you sign up) and for every buck they earn, you get 20 cents also! (Think how much money you can make if you have 100 people making five bucks a day)

You do not have to enter your credit card or social security number. Nothing Harmful can come from CC. YOU DO NOT HAVE TO BE 18 OR OLDER, I AM 15 YEARS OLD AND REFERRING PEOPLE, AND I MAKE THIS MUCH MONEY A MONTH

JUST SPENDING A COUPLE MINUTES A DAY ON THE COMPUTER! THANK YOU VERY MUCH FOR READING THIS.

Think it's a scam? Read this(from the website) "We assure you that this is not a scam! Companies need consumers to try and review products, services, and websites and are willing to pay money to have them do so.

Most of the time you're asked to do this without any compensation, what we do is take the money companies give us for YOUR participation, and give you back up to 75% of it!"

There are alot of websites like this, I have tried almost all of them and this really is the best, and legit one.In addition there is a new UK section opened with more then $200 worth of free offers!

» PvP got da boot!

Apparently he got banned due to leading on that

this is more than just concept and that he has

completed the project but without proof.

Great idea though. I don't think he should of been

banned based on how something gets worded.

I think he should build a complete kit with a few

of his ideas like forced feedback, dual analog and

hand cooling all in one kit that could be detachable

yet a great item that once installed right the first

time all secondary installs is much faster. Sort of like

that PSP2TV kit.

Sorry to hear you got banned PvP, hopefully it will

all get settled out and you'll be back on AcidMods!

Good Luck

Should he post proof of concept video I have no problem reinstating him I do not doubt his ability he is very smart and creats alot of good mods. But Acidmods Backes every Mod we do with POC video and we banned him because he posted a finished product without it. should everone start doing this Acidmods would become a joke..

:QUOTE:CyberPyr ot:Acidmods:

Ok guys be nice we are a friendly community.. I have nothing against PvP_LostKnight I actualy like him the last PM I sent him I said "Good Job with the light Concept" or somthing like that. He is a very smart guy and I would like to have him as a part of AcidMods. Here is the problem with his last mod. He states "to just get any night light and connect the 3.5v DC from the power board to the 110v AC plugs of the night light."

The problem I have with that is not all night lights are built the same and the circuit boards in them are rated for AC use those of you who know electronics know for the conversion from AD to DC there is usualy a voltage transformer which can somtimes be huge. But since the bulbs in the night light are rated for 110v there is no need for one since there running off of AC.

When we develope a Mod we usualy will provide you with part numbers as well you you may duplicate the mod at home. Last night I tryed the mod following his directions an unfortunatly it did not work. It is quite possible he had a particular night light that worked diffrently then mine. But that leads to this problem if everyone all over the world went out and bought night lights to do this mod and half did not work what would be the explination you provide? This is why we use componants with actual part numbers so everyone can produce the same results everytime..

I had invited PvP_LostKnight into R&D team stating we could help him fine tune his mods prior to releasing to the public but hes refused stating he would rather post the ideas in the forum and get feedback as he goes.. This is great and all but make shur you have something everyone can do befor you tip a large news site pointing them to acidmods. Because if the idea flops later we will be looked at as a joke.

There are many ways to do this you don't even need a Light Sensitive Resistor. If some one could tell me a way to do it with out the Light Sensitive Resistor I would be impressed.

maybe so but i still believe him when he says that he posted his article then went to church then got home and found out that he was banned. i think you guys were unjustified with the ban with no forewarning. i believe he does have the proof and he also stated that if u wanted proof, just ask. the ban was very much unnecessary and unorthodox. no proper actions were taken to at least contact him. imagine writing a kick *** article about it with pics to back it up (and not show it of course) then going somewhere for a couple hrs and coming back and finding out you were banned from the site that u are a part of. just my 2 cents on it....

by scott - 2007-07-17 01:41
» fladfjldka

yea the ban was very much unorthodox. u didnt even both to contact him and demand proof. usually when something like that happens, the mailbox gets filled up with PMs from ppl demanding to see proof. which can be easily loaded up then after. u seriously didnt even ask him. just banned him. wtf kind of site is that?

by d14 - 2007-07-17 02:37
» Blah

Showing no proof is not cool, but not giving the guy a chance to prove it before u ban him is even more uncool.

chill the bleep out!

They did what they did because proper protocol was not fallowed. All the details need to be ready and posted on

the home site in proper order before anybody is tipped off about a project going public. They do have to protect both the web site and their dev's credibility in their community.

I believe that PvP may be telling the truth but should of fallowed the site (that he's a member of) rules before going public to out side web sites.

If PvP could have a detailed parts list including model numbers and a (how to) build sheet, the theory could have been tested by the other dev's at AcidMods and confirm, then go public.

There is a reason they invite you into R&D, to keep this kind of stuff from happening. I do understand that dev's need to work together to keep their community from going sour and rouge dev's don't help keep the community stable when protocol is ignored.

by scott - 2007-07-17 03:17
» akfs

even tho protocol was ignored, there was no warning for him. on the article he did state that if u wanted pics he would post them. i do believe he has pics and has tested it, no problem at all. but kicking him without confronting him is low. acidmods should have at least confronted him and asked him to post the pics. but in that time frame when he was not even online to even put up a defense for himself. i think acidmods should check the last login time/date of PvP because he said he got home at about what 10pm? if they wouldve checked the last login which wouldve been a couple hrs, they wouldve known that PvP was not online during those times so therefore unable to read the replies to see if people wanted pics or not.

» booo

i agree with scott. even though it was ignored, he should've had a warning before getting banned. just banning without saying anything is quite low indeed. booo acidmods booo

OOh I know lets all go out and break some rules and then when we are all sitting in jail we will say... "Aw gees *whine* no one warned me about it! *Boo hoo*" OMG! You really can't understand why there are rules in place? The fact is you follow the rules or you pay the consequences... I think if PvP wants back onto AcidMods, he should make a formal apology to the whole community, hmm, on QJ would be a great place, since it's where he originaly broke the rules... But, I don't think PvP has the intestinal fortitude to do it!
