For those of us who want a little more oomph to our PlayStation Portables, specifically about the bright LED lights on the nifty little gadget, here's a neat little mod that lets those small lights slowly fade out instead of blinking on or off. Courtesy of none other than *FuFa, here's the PSP LED Fader mod, as shown in action in the video embed below.

Certainly looks awesome, doesn't it? Not only does it give the LEDs a pulsing effect, it certainly adds style points if you're playing in the relative darkness. You can check out the tutorial - complete with pictures and an extra video - on how to apply the PSP LED Fader Mod to your own handheld by clicking on the Read link we've supplied. Enjoy the video, and remember to take care when tinkering with your PSP!

Very nice, unfortunately I wouldn't imagine you'd get a whole lot of battery life when you've got half a dozen LEDs all over the place

Belive it or not, it doesn't effect the Battery that much, I got like 10 minutes less battery, but besides that, it's like a normal PSP. The Leds take close to 0 power.
