F00 f00 alerts us to his latest PSP mod that was inspired by a fellow named replicashooter. So how does it work? Well, basically what was done was that the analogue nub was modified to act as the dpad, and the dpad was replaced with a PS2 styled analogue stick. The left trigger was set to be activated when the left stick was pressed down.

For extra style and glowy oomph, F00 f00 added a clear back plate and a few LEDS. Below is video of the mod in action.

For more info on f00 f00's amazing mod, feel free to head to the acid-mods post via our  link below. Thanks F00 f00 for the heads-up. Keep the awesome tips (and mods) coming!

It looks like a good job, and it obviously was a lot of hard work, but I think much of it is pointless showing off. I mean, having all those lights...everywhere? Un-needed. Plus it probably drains the battery like mad, unless they aren't as bright as the video makes them out to be.

The analog stick switch around it pretty nice, but again with the random lights. Why is everyone so attracted to shiny lights? What possible purpose could they serve?

# most modders just dont have styleGuest 2007-04-02 21:08
omg.

i really dont get it.

everytime i see those LED mods, i try to see the beauty ... but there simply is none.

i mean, these modder-folks really have the skill to beat the *****, but they dont have style at all. they are able to solder, they have knowledge of the circuits, but what the fck, they have no sense for aesthetics.

plain, *****ty blue LED's mounted behind a clear surface.

*puke*

I dont normally bother replying to comments like this. But I find that quite offensive.

You may not like my style, but that dose not mean it is without merit. There are plenty of people that disagree with you.

I am sure that when you sit at home and create a piece of work, painting, video, w/e theres tens of thousands of people waiting to see it. Or then again perhaps not. . .

f00: wouldnt it a bit boring, if every comment would praise you mod? and to state this again: you got that technical skill, which i will never have. i am envious of it. (to be "offensive" again, i believe, most people like it, because of the skill, not of the style). but i believe, you will grow up and going to produce real art, if you take some more time on the idea, instead of just training your skills.

Shirou: never mind to mod it, i would brick it with a 99,9% option. its just not my profession....

# Love the analogue...Guest 2007-04-03 08:17
Also love the swap in position of the stick and the pad... should have been the origional design.

A real analogue stick is sweet. If only I had the skills to do this. Then I would actually be able to play my psp without my hands falling asleep.

However, Acid Mods proves once again that you need to be on acid to apreciate all the damn leds.
