One of its members, l0rdnic0, uploaded a YouTube video showing a mod for both the PSP Fat and PSP Slim & Lite that allows users to turn off/on the Sony handheld without even touching its power switch button.
"All you would need beside the switch installed is a small magnet," explained l0rdnic0. While the clip below is just an intro and serves as a proof-of-concept, the modder promised to upload another one tomorrow that should give you the step-by-step process on how to go about this specific mod.

Hey heres a suggestion....... SHUT THE F*** UP! if you want to complain then do it somewhere else or get a taste of modding yourself. YOU come up with something better than this then ill stfu till then go b**** and moan somewhere else
All he has done is removed the switch and soldered a small reed switch over the terminals. He has palmed a magnet which throws the reed switch as you pass over it, same for turning it off. It's quite a clever idea, simple but clever but it does mean you have to carry a magnet around with you.
