Dual nubs: PSP modding in time-lapse video |
Ó
Obviously, it's not going to be a very insightful video as to the details of modding, but it's entertaining as heck. Best of all, he also shows off the dual nubs he's put into the PSP, which is a stylish alternative to installing giant analog joysticks on the sides. The video's a piece of work, and so is the PSP he's modded (Lucky Vinze!). We suppose you can bask in the awesomeness, if only for a little while. Enjoy!

Very nice video. Hmmm who plays that song?
Yes, very nice video, I think that music is from the strokes :)
That shiet is awsome!!! but daymn those led are freaking bright i might become blind just playing games for an hour or so....
Wow looks good, where can i buy this ;)?
www.acidmods.com
I can't play with all those lights, that's why I love the PSP spny put the leds exactly where your hands will be when you play, so you can't see them, leds bother me, but still this is a very cool mod ^^ , for show NIIIICE, for playing naaaaa.
Its cool to mod, but putting shinning lights on a transparent PSP is kinda...gay...
Put a pink light then...it will be 100% gay and not 60%.
gw acidmods.
but im more intrested in WHAT GAMES IS THAT???
Heh, finally a PROPER dual analog mod.
You didnt notice, the lights can be turned on/off via the wi-fi switch.
pimped up PSP is not my thing...

I wonder what the orange dice was used for...
that guy is a real pro man, i woud love that flashlight and second joystick..
Im wondering how they get it to work
even though ugly faceplate
The 2 nubs are cool, he needs to make the second one the same as the original. The lights are to bright and are a waste of time and battery. The clear case is raunchy also.
Good work on the mod though.
im guessing it was coded arms...
its hard to find an original analog stick. i tried getting one after i ruined mine doing some modifications and it has a very rough feel...
HAHAHAHHA owned so bad. hahahhaaa
I just want to know where the heck they got a full PSP replacement case. Everywhere I look it's just replacement faceplates, nothing about the backplate and UMD door.
Yeah... owned.
That's teh *****! Those lights are awesome! Pimp my PSP ftw! And that second thumbstick..... I want one :(
hey, someone post on that account. Perhaps about psps?
wouldn't the wifi be turned off by the switch or is that function disconected
Yeah, it dose turn it off.
There both sony nubs
Does that anolog stick function as an actual stick alone? Or does it replace or mimic the 4 buttons?
What does just the second analog stick setup cost? Also, how much did you have to solder to hook up a second analog stick?
Theres tutorials available and parts on www.acidmods.com. If you want a quote on my services email me direct or via acidmods.
f00-f00@acidmods.com
ya it was Coded Arms and dont sound so ecentric tha games gay ass hell
im not sure for this specific mod but other dual anolog mods just mimic the
_
/\ O |_| X buttons
I want that.
lol so is the second nub integrated into the same function as pressing traingle, x, circle or square?
dude I think it was better that he used a clear case because otherwise you couldn't really see the second nub in action... why does it even matter what the case looked like or what anything at all looked like? that functionality is awesome!
its umm What Ever Happened? by The Strokes
So that means you have to have the LED on while playing online? Thats gotta suck
those rubber gloves are hardcore
yeah, i dont think you'll be playin for an hour with those LEDs
Damn it, where do they sell the clear back housing for the psp? I can find faceplates, and a umd door... But where is the complete kit available.
The dual joystick mod is great, btw.
Well isnt that something? lol. Take that Sony! If they could do that why not figure a way to install that 8gb of flash memory we all wish we had on the psp. Now, wouldnt that be something.
HAAAA Thats my PSP!!! well if FOO f00 posts it back lol
Thanks man going to be well chuffed !!!
yeah i waas wondering that too
