Tomb Raider: 10th Anniversary will be a game for the fans |
Ó
Lara Croft will also be in better shape than ever in her 10-year reign as Queen of Action. "We rebuilt some areas directly from the original Tomb Raider and played through them with the new Lara as a test," says Botta. "These areas that used to take five minutes to navigate took us 20 seconds."
Tomb Raider: 10th Anniversary will feature the same four chapters of the original (Peru, Greece, Egypt, and Atlantis), the same tombs and temples from 10 years ago and the same traps and puzzles - but spruced up in looks and complexity. After all, 10 years ago Lara didn't have the advanced physics system from Legend. While there will be no new levels, this is not a pixel by pixel remake.
"We picked all the memorable areas from Tomb Raider, and to connect them all, we made new areas," says Botta. "If you remember how to solve something you'll probably have to do more or less the same thing again. Your knowledge of the original will help you."
Tomb Raider: 10th Anniversary is scheduled to be released in Spring 2007 for the PSP and PS2.

First You Pieces of Sh*t!
second u pieces of *****
Hmm, I think I'll enjoy this anyway, even if it is a remake of the first two, which were frankly, crap.
I don't buy Tomb Raider games anymore, and never will unless they let Core make them again.
That's understandable, but I think the new engine is *****ing great!
I loved the originals but never beat em, my disks are too scratched to play em, so being able to play a better version of it would be awsome, the latest game kiked ass, so u know they havent lost their touch.
