Super Monkey Ball Adventure Screenshots and Interview

IGN had a sit down with Sega producer Mary Caplan to peel back the banana of what is Super Monkey Ball Adventure for PSP, and to let everyone know what it's all about. In the interview they go over the general basic questions of multiplayer, gameplay, how many characters will be playable, and just how the development is really going. SMBA has been in development for 18 months with a work load of 50 people working on the project off and on. The story mode is pretty basic-something about the main monkey falling in love with another monkey. There is the bad monkey who casts darkness over the world to separate the two and it's your job to bring happiness back to the world. On terms of gameplay, SMBA will have you moving the ball around with the analog stick but only one world, Spirit Realm, will you be able to control the actual ground's tilting. Remember this is an adventure so you're going to be controlling the ball more than the ground. Throughout the interview they talk about having 50 playable characters, a party mode for up to four players, and the five worlds you'll be exploring in.

Super Monkey Ball Adventure will be expected at retail store on June 27 and this game has not yet been rated. Here are 6 screenshots for you to get your Monkey Ball fix on.

You need to get that fixed. I've had my PSP since the day it launched and my analog controller has *never* once gotten stuck.

I remember playing Super Monkey Ball 2, that game was both a source of frustration and a highly entertaining and somewhat original game. I think I managed to get pretty far, then I reached a level where the only way to win was to let one of the vertically moving obstacles crash down on me and shoot me through the goal with only a 1% chance of ever succeeding...at that point I pretty much gave up. Now, I am looking forward to reliving the fun and the frustration of this game on my PSP. I just hope the difficulty will not be as high this time around...
