Pressurized: Hideo Kojima on continuing Metal Gear series |

In an interview with Develop Mag, Kojima states that if he quits Konami, then maybe the pressure will be a bit off. "But since Konami handles the business side of our operations, yeah, there's definitely a demand to continue a series as successful as Metal Gear."
Nanana-nana-nanana... and I can't get you out of my head...
He also waxed existentialist as he answered a question on whether he would want to work on smaller projects after the massive MG series. "Personally, I would love to work on a smaller project. But, thinking about the time I have left to survive, I'd rather spend that time working on bigger projects."
Isn't he concerned that big risks come along with big ideas? "We have to think that the industry that we're in is a hit industry. You've got to love the risk."
It's no wonder then that Kojima is the successful artist that he is now. And in line with that, you can just very well expect that his next project is a really big one.
The interview also talked about how Kojima won the West over. To read the full interview, just follow the source link below.

Anyway, I think he can continue Metal Gear without Snake if he wanted to. He's a masterful story teller and could pull it off while keeping fans happy. Snake is essentially retired unless he can figure out some kind of way to clone Snake (again?) or something along those lines. Guess we'll have to wait and see.

i see why people want the series continued, but those who gets mad if Mr. Kojima were quit making MGS-game (or games in general)
are just moronic.

They did something to Snake's DNA so that he can't be cloned if I remember right. I don't think his DNA(which is inside the nucleus) can replicate inside a new cell(part of process of cloning).
So Raiden is one of the only choices Kojima can go. The other is remakes of the classics. I wouldn't mind remakes of Metal Gear(not MGS).

My comment "he's dead AFTER the game is over" obviously referred to how he had a very short time to live, with Otacon and Sunny living with him till he dies.
So, that means don't jump to conclusions in a failed attempt to get back at me infecting your pathetic minds with such logic and intelligence. I thought I taught you commoners better than that.

I mean how many hours of cutscene/codec dialogue have well gone through for him [Kojima] to put the story forward? A lot. I think if someone were to play through MGS 1 -4 and watch every cutscene they would probably not want another mgs. Probably a good long sleep instead.
It came, it conquered, it hugged Big Boss, it left; Lets all celebrate a successful series coming to an end rather than ask for more until it goes downhill. :)

the biggest disappointment was that big boss was still alive. also, raiden should be dead after what happened to him on shadow moses (it's not that i hate him). i was rather disappointed to find out that they both survived, which kind of ruined the ending.

either way people definately shouldnt be demanding more
