The video embed above shows Radical Entertainment producer Paul Pawlicki delving into the details on their tactical shooter title for the PSP, SWAT: Target Liberty.

He basically talks about a lot of interesting stuff about SWAT, such as why they chose to port this PC original onto Sony's PSP, and what are the new stuff that PSP gamers may expect from this version. For one, there will be 12 missions for you to engage in here, as well as some new scenarios such as hostage rescue. Deviating also from the previous SWAT versions where there are four playable characters, SWAT: Target Liberty for the PSP will have only two playable characters. But, the multiplayer mode can host up to four players.

Anyhow, if you wanna know more about what else is in store for you here, just check out the vid below. SWAT: Target Liberty is set to come out this Fall.

» Reminds me of the old swat games...

Despite what they say about trying to speed up the gameplay - SWAT has always been a slow paced game, and from what they show on screen it looks to be the same for this. Just put it up against the leading tactile shooter on the psp with the same 3d isometric view (Killzone) and the speed difference is quite noticeable.

I like the swat game nevertheless so I will probably try this one out if it gets decent reviews and claims to have decent load times. Load times are really killing my mood about games these days.

» WTF!?!?!

OMG! Yet another GOD perspective shooter game.

When will they ever learn? You should never come out

with a FPS and make it a top down game, it will inevitable

fail always.

If you are a game developer reading this, the quickest

way to insure your game fails is to turn a FPS into a top

Down game.

Turning a FPS into a top down game is the laziest way to

produce a game. Yeah it's quicker to make a game a top

down shooter than it is to make it first person but you will

lose your fan base in doing so.

I have no interest ever in playing a top down game regardless of what kind of game it is, even more so if the

original game was a FPS.

Killzone for the PSP killed it's self by doing this, others feel

the need to learn this lession the hard way as well

apparantly.

You don't approach a FPS crowd and turn their beloved

game into a top down player, this disrespects the games

fan base like spiting in their face and calling their mothers

a bad loose *****!

Regardless of others being more patiant with these

developers taking the easy route and still buying there

worthless game, I will never be sensitive to the design

and will always bust out the gate to bash their worthless

waste of time POS they call a new PSP game.

» great, another FPS gone top down shooter.

This is a waste of time and money on the developers part.

They should of saved them selves some time and given me the money and called it a day. This game will collect dust on the store shelves and a waste of petrol in making the plastic umds it's burned to. top down shooters will always suck.

» I don't believe this

I can't beleave the SWAT franchise has alowed this game to be turned into a piece of ***** by this developer. It's a FPS for crying out load. You would of thought the games undustery would of learned their lession by watching killzone bottum out for making the same lazy mistake. The PSP is truely capable of so much more and we have FPS's on the PSP and good ones too. I played SWAT on PC and it is a FPS. it's like the industery is taking steps backwards with the PSP instead of forwards. YOU DON'T TURN A FPS INTO A TOP DOWN SHOOTER!
