how comes the entire article is posted on the ps3 homepage and not just a snippet of it?

"The best handheld RPG"?

That pricked my attention so I read up on this game on Wikipedia. And no. It's set in a school and has a battle system similar to Crisis Core? No. That puts it right at the bottom of the barrel for me.



The best handheld RPG's are still FFVII (thanks DA), Golden Sun 1 and 2 and Tales of Eternia... Even though just 2 of those aren't ports and specifically designed to be a handheld RPG.

nope ur wrong, if u read the article it said agito XIII had so many overhauls it looks different from the screens we've already seen so the chances are its probably not what u would be expecting>.>

Hmm, well the Wiki says that the game starts off in a school but doesn't expand much past that later. That's what I don't like... I want an RPG with scope, something where you travel the world in a linear fashion not where you constantly revert to the starting position. To me that doesn't say adventure, all the other 'highest rated RPGs of all time' aren't based in schools or have a central pivotal location.

They do say the battle system is a mixture between Crisis Core with an ATB system. That's a step in the right direction but if they have needless one-arm-bandit like bonus systems then no. A game shouldn't rely on luck.



I've still got hopes for the 360/PS3 version though.



But it's of my opinion that nothing since FFVII has been 'the best' of any console.

It has Final Fantasy written on it so it should be played like a final fantasy game.

well technically you CAN play forever, at least until your disc disintegrates or your PSP falls apart... or you die or whatever. Naw, I'm kidding, I know we're really talking about lasting value. Who knows, maybe it's a game worth going back to over and over like Smash Melee. I have high hopes for Agito especially after they switched it over from card-based to a more traditional RPG system. And if they want to make it the pinnacle of handheld RPGs, they don't really have to try very hard. They're really only competing with themselves.

some may not agree but are still really good.

and just for your sake kid. it is gonna be like kingdom hearts only realistic. but i prefer sitting on my ass. turned based.... well not really but still.
