Now that the announcement of Need for Speed ProStreet started up your engine, producer John Doyle revealed more details about the upcoming game most racing fans are waiting for.

In the previous NFS games, you can't just get away with wild driving. Cops will be on your tail and there are negative deduction points, so you won't be able to win that prized Skyline without skill. This time around, consequences will be much brutal.

Car damage will be more realistic, and they would stay 'til you repair. We're not talking about just busting a wheel or breaking windshields here, even the smallest detail as a scratch on your ride will reflect your (questionable?) driving skills. But don't step on the gas yet, the game is slated for release come Q4 2007 for PS3, 360, Wii, PC, PS2, PSP, and DS.

Unlike its predecessors, performance customization is now the big thing. EA's research shows that enthusiasts have gone past the shine of bling and now prefer a fast wheel over a pimped out one. You can fine tune your car into your ideal ride depending on your style, then save it with the blueprint system. Online, you can upload or download blueprints for your needs.

Looking at the graphics, it's something you'd expect from a next-gen title. Just by the videos alone, you could tell that they're working hard on making the most realistic world possible with car models almost indistinguishable from the real thing. Doyle mentioned how smoke is a big deal here, along with other bells and whistles that would intimidate the player and make him believe that he's in front of an 800-horsepower monster.

Stunning graphics, damage like in the burnout series but like 10x better I'm not sure about you guys but i think that EA ***** all over need for speed carbon, it was just a pile of horse hooey compared to most wanted which i think is the second best NFS game, Undergound being the first
