Next Hideo Kojima game 'should' make it to next year's TGS |
Ó
A lot of Hideo Kojima fans must have been pretty anxious to see if he'll announce his next project at the Tokyo Game Show. Don't get yourself all worked up that he didn't though.Speaking to Famitsu, the Metal Gear creator revealed that his next project "should" be unveiled at next year's TGS:
Until the end of this year, I have my hands full with Metal Gear Online, but at next year's show, I think it's okay that I should be able to announce something.
Last month, Kojima gave hints that he may start work on the next Metal Gear project, although he was still undecided on whether he will work on it himself, or if he will just act as the game's producer.
Back then he said that he already had three concepts for Metal Gear Solid 5, but that he doesn't want to tell these to his staff or else he'd have to work on the game himself. And we all know how he promised that MGS4was his last *wink wink*.
I wouldn't mind either way. If he went back to Metal Gear, it guarantees that the franchise would remain faithful to his original vision of it. If he decides to work on a new project, well that just means we have a new Kojima game to look forward to.

very excited for him and his decisions in the gaming industry.
im rooting for a ZOE for the ps3 exclusive as his next announcment project.
he's ben making MGS game for like 20 years or so and i think he needs a break and start making other kickazz games.
anywho,im hoping its a ZOE project or a com[;etely new IP wen next years TGS arrives.
I also hope for a zone of the enders game for the ps3
a ZOE game for the PS3 would be nice....heck even if it was on the PSP, id like it.......buuutttt......
anyways, seeing how he took so long to "perfect" MGS4, i would like him to take a break from MGS, and make 2 or 3 others...just as Apeaggedon said
or maybe another MGS for the PSP, but not PO style...
ZOE sequel, go go go!
What's interestingly vague about Kojima's statement is that, despite him talking about MGS and stuff, there was no explicit mention of his next project (which "should" make it to TGS 2009) being an MGS game.
His "next project" could very well be ZOE.
I will have my PS3 before his new title hits the stores cant wait to get my ps3 so I can do some MSG4
I'd love to see a new ZOE out on PS3, especially now that Hideo Kojima can focus all of his attention on it instead of juggling it with MGS
