It's a little surprising to hear that Jack Thompson ordered his own copy of Manhunt 2 but maybe you'll want to hear it for yourselves. In this latest video, Jack Thompson and a number of other guests express their views on Rockstar Games in Game Head.

The guests in Game Head are the participants of the Moral Kombat debate, the video that explores the moral responsibilities of video games. This includes Spencer Halpin, Director and Producer of the documentary.

Guests include Jack Thompson, anti-videogame activist and Lorne Lanning, co-founder of Oddworld Inhabitants. Also present is the debate's moderator, N'Gai Croal.

Here's the video (and note though, Thompson never mentioned why he ordered the game, only that he ordered it):

Well, I do not support Rockstar games. They are horribly, monsterously and heartless inhumanity games I ever seen. That's sickening and I do not care. I will not support Rockstar games at all. In the near future, everything will happen and that's not good. This is not fantasy.. It will happen and you guys think its fun and one day it will be your turn and you will be horrific of it in reality someday.

Rockstar, please stop make them and you are making us disgusting and your mastermind is very sick!

» That was excruciating

I'm surprised that anyone with that level of literacy can write a statement that long and not get exhausted half way. And so behold, the nay sayers in the war against violent video games. The fate of our right to choose lays in the hands of those who's perception is limited to "pretty picture" or "me-no-like that picture"

» meh

I honestly don't see a big deal here. Slap a M+ rating on it and let it go. If some parents buy the game for their kid, that's the parents' problem. If a store sells it to a minor, that's the store's problem. Don't make the adults suffer just because some idiot parent buys their kid a game like Manhunt 2.

» if i had children i woudlnt

buy games like manhunt for them. GTA maybe when there 12-14, but kids should play mario, adults can play whatever the hell they want.

» U Stupid

lol RockmanForte i have to say that was thee dumbest response to this situation with Rockstar. Its been far worst and more graphic movies then in video games ever. We all take in so many hours a day of violent stories on regular TV with the news and cable stations that promote this crap all the time and for a fool like yourself to sit here and preach that crap about how horrible Rockstar is only shows how dumb your and all the media and political supports of that sh1t you said are. Ya'll are disgusting and ya'll are hypocrites. i bet you own every horror movie or ever type of gun. But you upset about a video game. Jump on the Government about how they allow those gun companies sell guns to people who in turn sell them to kids or people who should never own a gun. Next time before you post such dumb sh1t think about the sh1t you support before you say something.

» Lets get this straight...

It seems that this man likes to attribute acts of violence, especially school violence/shootings. He seems to forget that virtually all of the shooters were male, socially ignored/exiled and, perhaps most importantly, had access to GUNS. Thompson is so involved in pressing theories about imaginary worlds of violence that he seems to have forgotten the realities that made these shootings possible on the first place. What’s your stance on gun ownership Mr. Thompson because last time I checked more Americans were killed last year by guns than by copies of Halflife 2.

Also, coming from a rightwing-Christian-neo-con this seems a little hypocritical. Are we to assume that religion (Christianity included) is without a history of violence? Because if so, who then was responsible for the Witch-hunts, the Crusades and the Inquisition (and more recently-although certainly not as grand- the denunciation of homosexuality and the negation of gay/lesbian humaity)? Take-Two maybe?

» I'd buy my kids

what ever the hell they want, well not if there 8 or somthing, but like 10 and over yes. Cause I understand that its up to the person to choose to be violent or not. If my kid starts acting weird I'll just smack his ass back to normal.

The way I see it is if you tell a kid to stop doing somthing or dont do it in the first place, they'll wanna do it. So I'll let um do what ever they want unless it starts to effect me or other people (like additude problems), then I'll raise hell.

Did anyone else notice how Thompson was stubborn? When the interviewer produced evidence against Thompson he ignored it and was just like "no no." He also said that "the fact they didn't find anything isn't proof that there isn't a link" but isn't that study just as valid as the study that found a link? The safest we could assume would be that videogames MAY cause SOME people instead of being a definate link.

Until your child is 18, you make the decisions for them. That's what it means to be a parent.
