Peter Moore - Image 1 Now that EA Sports has already established itself as one of the mainstays of console sport gaming, what's next for one of the top sports game publisher? In an exclusive interview with GameDaily, EA Sports executive Peter Moore talks about the future of EA Sports in terms on innovation, approachability, and online gaming.

According to Moore, EA Sports has always been about gameplay innovation, and will always make it a point that everything in indeed "in the game," as their tagline proclaims. "We're now seeing truly "next generation" game experiences across platforms and across genres," Moore said.

There were also some problems about newer gamers trying to get into the franchise. EA Sports have been taking steps to ensure that gamers who just recently picked up their first EA Sports title, or casual gamers trying to experience the game, will not have a hard time in doing so.

Moore mentioned EA Sports Family Play Wii control scheme as an example of a casual title approach that would appeal to the casual gaming market. However, he also said that titles such as NFL Tour and FIFA Street 3 (Xbox 360, PS3) will sport simplified controls to accommodate inexperienced gamers.

Finally, Moore touched on the subject of online gaming, which he stressed as the future of gaming. "It would be impossible to ignore the profound impact of gaming in a connected world—particularly in the sports genre where competition is king," he said.

» From Microsoft To EA Sports

Was this a demotion or what? With Microsoft he had involvement with a variety of different games and now only repetitive sports game. The boring factor went up a notch.
