Lumines II and Every Extend Extra Interview |
Ó
For those of you who don't know him, Tetsuya Mizuguchi is the game designer responsible for the Lumines series, which will include Lumines II on the PSP, Lumines mobile, Lumines Plus on the PS2, and even an Xbox Live Arcade version of Lumines later this year. In addition, he is working on another title called Every Extended Extra, which is a fast paced game where the main objective is to blow yourself up. In this interview, Mizuguchi described some of his goals for his next two releases on the PSP.Lumines II is supposed to be more of a "music festival" as he calls it, and Mizuguchi is already searching for new talents across many different genres to appeal to a wide audience. The traditional style of gameplay will remain the same, but a new battle mode will be included. However, the main focus of the updates in Lumines II revolve around graphics. Along with the expanded music selection with videos, he also has plans for sleek looking 3D skins to create a visually stunning experience on the PSP.
In addition, Every Extended Extra is a remake of an simple PC downloadable game created by a Japanese university student. The PSP version will be a blast whether you want to play for 5 or 50 minutes, mostly due to its fast paced yet addicting nature. Starting off with a limited number of bombs, your goal is to destroy as much stuff as possible by detonating yourself. By timing your explosion just right you can cause massive chain reactions that will give you power-ups and time-delays to keep the game alive. Mizuguchi certainly cares a lot about these two highly anticipated titles, and after seeing how widely successful the original Lumines was you shouldn't be surprised if both of these titles become bestsellers.

Im going to get both of these games. I have had so much fun playing Lumines 1!
"addicting" is not a word in that context. I believe you're looking for "addictive" chief. I bloody hate the ubiquity of some mistakes. It makes no "sence".
