LittleBigPlanet - Image 1We already know that a PSP spinoff of LittleBigPlanet is in the works, but it seems Media Molecule has a more ambitious dream for the franchise.

The studio wants to expand it well beyond video games, to comics, cartoons, and even action figures. Seems like they plan to expand everywhere except other consoles.

Previous talks with  Alex Evans, co-founder of Media Molecule, hinted that they were also considering on making a spin off with a first-person perspective. Speaking with BBC, he had this to say about the game's success:

There's been a lot of being in the right place at the right time. When we went to Sony we were a tiny but very experienced team. Sony had to trust in us in terms of the quality of people. It was amazing how much they understood what was a new concept; it was quite blue sky.

Forget the action figures. I want them plushies! And I wonder what's happening with that LittleBigPlanet PSP game?

NO NO NO just like i said they would theyve totally ruined it now yes LBP is good, but im sorry youd play it what a minute a day, its got nothing to keep you there, no instant action or anything keep it to consoles,

WTF!?!?!?!?!

YES YES YES "theyve totally ruined it now" How do you figure high speed? They haven't done anything yet. How would a comic book of LBP ruin your PS3 video game? Here's an idea, don't buy the comic book and keep playing your game.

wow bro

what are you talkin about Im not even that interested in the game people will eat all that stuff up if they like it I seen people get bumber stickers and key chains of stuff and they dont heven have cars or keys and there was people on this beta for hours what you said was mostly just wrong in most cases you "instant action" whats that, what do you mean?
by Uberoth - 2008-10-24 15:46:40
OH GOD NO...

If they make a cartoon spin-off it will most likely be aimed at children, and if it's aimed at children people will start classing this game as a children's game, and that is something that I hope they have the forsight to avoid.

mmm

1, they havnt ruined the game but theyve ruined the story, concept, name by overselling their product confidence is always a good thing especially in video games marketing, but theyre taking the piss now if i dont buy the comic, the story of littlebig planet the overselling of it makes me just annoyed at it, and therefore it would ruin the game also wat are u talking about the instant action was meant, that there was no moments in which it got adrenaline, ore anything similar its just ok open this switch wlak through climb this open switch while i think its a good game i definitely dont see it revolutionary the customisability isnt new, its just the physic that is good, and if any studio actually wanted to pull this off they easily could, infact i think the could make gameplay better or have a better story most games/movies have peak points in which you get a rush of some sort, they dont have it constant overwise tits gets boring 30mins into the movie, instead they need to bring something new every so often little big planet is restricted from the beginning something is developed, as you play, and theres no instant action (you need this if you dont have a story), which it doesnt i think this is just a total fad, a month from its released and 70% of people will be totally bored about it all i all, its fad youll buy it a week or two youll be piss bored and will only pick it up the odd day when some new crazy level is released and put it down after that day

while i dont believe its totally explicit childs game id say after the fad, the majority of players will be girls and children (it has been proven that these games (casual) have the majority of its community a kid or girl) however id say there would be a few hardcorse ones, which will give you a fair amount of good levels

WTF!?!?!?!?!

"all i all, its fad youll buy it a week or two youll be piss bored and will only pick it up the odd day when some new crazy level is released and put it down after that day" This is why no one takes you seriously. Well this and the fact that you type like a 10 year old who's primary language isn't English. You have no way of knowing this information. You CLAIM IT like it's fact. I've already had the game for a week now and I'm no where near bored! Have you even played it? No? Then shut your trap and quit making such statements until you've at least played it. If you have played it then leave your comments as OPINION.

1. i had the beta and yes i expect you to beable to realise that is was written as a comment(opinion), i was commenting on something i have played hence a comment which the majority of english speaker would interperet that some of this might be opinion based , it wasnt has if i said FACT or anything, does it mean i have to write "in my own opinion", with every single argument i make, if you cant interpret english then ***** off, i dont know what your problem is, but your always yapping and way to go and assume i havnt played it, while i havnt played the full release it was said its been largely updated but then a some changes where released and the FACT IS, the wont be changing the entire games gameplay anytime soon thanks for making an ASS out of U and ME also what has my english got to do with my argument, seriously focus on the argument, you know youve lost once you go slagging your opponent off also you may be part of that hardcore gamers like i said, which will continue to play it, but id still wait a month before saying how your still playing it i did mention a week or two, but i also mentioned a month

WTF!?!?!?!?!

You don't have to say opinion every time but you also can't state your opinion as fact. Learn how to care on a normal conversation. Then maybe people will rate you higher and actualy give a crap about what you have to say.

YAY

YES YES YES
by CrYpT-WeeD - 2008-10-27 06:29:55
wow u dont realy get it do u

there is no way in hell u can complain about this game cuz the devolepors gave u every tool they had to make the game the way u want it. ancent proverb "if u want something done right do it ur self" and if the game sux then u made the level wrong then. what the dev's done is said "here if u can make a better game then do it" cuz the creation part of the game is beyond insane.

not such a bad idea in realistic perspective

it would be fun if can import our sack boys from little big planet to a spread of releases from media molecule (like the nintendo wii mii's) can already think of some games: SACKBOY Wrestling: (you can already slap players in the game and thats super enteraining (if you were in beta you see the plague of players attacking each other/or if you currently own the game)) SACKBOY kart: (like mario kart but with our sackboy's) SACKBOY world: (how about a 2d/3d remake of Super mario 3 but with sackboy :D god i loved super mario 3) SACKBOY shooter?? i dunno but seems like it wud be entertaining to watch id prob buy it i know their all re used idea but youd be lying if you werent interested in playing either of these.

WTF!?!?!?!?!

"it has been proven that these games (casual) have the majority of its community a kid or girl" If it's been proven then show us the proof. Also, "kid or girl"? Because a girl isn't a kid?
