A month ago, SCEA hardware marketing big boss John Koller said that the PSP software announcements they made earlier that month were just "half the story". In a recent interview with GameSpot, Koller shed just a little bit more light on what they have in store for PSP owners:

There's a lot of announcements coming up to E3 and particularly at E3. There's probably 50-60 percent of the lineup for the year that has not been announced and there's some big titles coming. So there's a lot of excitement on PSP.

Hey, I did say "just a little bit". The February announcement mentioned 9 titles, so we can probably expect around ten more titles to be announced shortly before and during E3.

» wouldn't it be great.

As easy as it is to make a game for the PSP and as good as those games can look, I always wondered why devs didn't use the psp as a source of side revenue. You know just pump out a game made by a team of maybe 20 to 50 people at the most every year or two.

If a single homebrew dev can come up with some great titles, think of what 'could' be done if devs used the psp to experiment with game ideas.

I would personally love to see more experimental titles come to the PSP. I want to see devs taking risks, releasing an ico-esk or SOTC-esk game for the psp. Hell, try new battle types on the psp for RPGs. and most of all more PS3-PSP interplay.

But then again I did just wake up, and I'm on antibiotics; so maybe I'm dreaming (or hallucinating).

Don't get your hopes up, the DMC PSP game was a rumor. Capcom did state a year or two ago, it's not going to happen.

lol am I the only one who interpreted the "Just a little bit" statement and immediately thought of the Take 5 commercials with that annoying big head small body guy?

Anyway, sounds good. PSP needs more games for sure. :)
