One of the things that the development team wanted to focus on was that despite the PSP-PS3 power disparity, they still wanted players to instantly recognize the PSP version to be a Gran Turismo game. One look at these screens would tell you that they managed to do so, big time.
Moving on to GT5, Yamauchi-san didn't specify any details as to how they intend on leaving the competition to eat their dust, but he did mention that the concept behind the GT-R's multi-function meter was established by him and his crew. Yes, the real driving simulator works closely with Nissan too.
If there's anything you wanna ask the US producers about Gran Turismo PSP, be sure to drop by the PlayStation Blog and ask - some of you might get replies straight from the blog. Oh and did you know? Gran Turismo PSP will have 800+ cars.

And to me the graphical quality doesn't look much different than Ridge Racers, which was a launch title over 4 years ago.
