Jackass Producer Aaron Rigby interviews himself |
Ó
Jackass: The Game (PSP, DS, PS2) sure is as weird and as fun as the TV show. And if you thought it's not going to get any weirder, then you are dead wrong. The producer of the video game title, Aaron Rigby, recently came up with interview questions regarding the game for... himself.
Now, that's something different but don't let the eccentricity put you off as the questions as well as the answers provided are quite informative. According to Rigby, the concept for the game was born because of the original series and they aimed to come up with stunts as crazy and as creative as the ones in the show.
The producer then mentioned that both the PlayStation Portable and PlayStation 2 versions will have multiplayer elements. The handheld build, needless to say, will utilize the WiFi features for the said mode. Rigby then went on and talked about editing and exporting replays for Jackass on PSP:
Basically, you play a stunt, save the replay, head over to Director mode and edits things like length, camera angels, add slo-mo, then export the stunt to your memory stick. Once it's exported, you can upload the stunt too and show off your mad skills.
Lastly, Aaron Rigby asked Aaron Rigby (that really is weird) whether he thinks the game is going to be a success or not. According to him, the whole Jackass experience is different from all the others because it is not based on accomplishing goals but on having fun. He explained:
Jackass doesn't work like that. The stunts in the show were just as good whether they accomplished what they set out to do or failed completely. That means that our goals in a stunt had to make sure that an entertaining failure worked just as well as a resounding success.

The stunts in the show were funny even if they failed. This is true. However, the stunts in the show were performed by real people, which is why it was funny. Will it be as fun when you know that the virtual man in your PSP is not feeling any real pain? I don't think it will be.
It's disgusting and unnatural. They are being ridiculous! It's sickening! Ugh!
What do you mean unnatural?
Well aren't you opinionated...
