Interview - Vicarious Visions to handle Marvel Ultimate Alliance 2: Fusion |
Marvel Ultimate Alliance 2: Fusion (DS, Wii, PS3, PSP, Xbox 360) is in the works, but not by Raven's hands. That task falls unto the eager hands of Vicarious Visions. Considering that Raven Software brought us the great multiplayer co-ops like Marvel: Ultimate Alliance and the X-Men Legends series, it looks like Vicarious is up for a big challenge.
Gamasutra got in touch with Vicarious Visions Creative Director Dan Tanguay and heard his take on this role. "Certainly this is the first time in a couple of years for me that I've been working on a lead SKU," he said. "I think the team's definitely been building toward this." Vicarious brought us Spider-Man 3 for Wii and PS2, and gained lots of experience working on the titles and platforms.
Meanwhile, Art Director Bryan Schutt has been poring over comic books to help him add more detail to the characters - from costume design all the way to where heroes part their hair. That'll be a lot of work, especially if they follow what has been done with previous title, Marvel: Ultimate Alliance, where each character has four costumes.
It's a a tall order, but they're ready for the challenge. "It's a huge responsibility to Marvel, to the fans, and to Activision,
our parent company," said Schutt. "We know there's a lot of big
expectations for it, and we want to deliver on those."

This is going to be a great game. VV have produced some great games in the past and no doubt MUA2:F on the PSP is going to be great.
they may have done some good games
but their spiderman 3 for ps2 kinda sucked!
Have you ever seen spiderman 3 for the ps2?
it is horrible
and vicarious made it.
spider man 2 was so great and the city and everything had so much detail
in the third game all you saw was rectangular prisms with squares on them
wahts weird though is that the game was ported to the psp
its the same game word for word
its an excellent psp game but a horrible ps2 game
